And in other news....I did it I finally broke. Having a home base is so not worth being torn apart every time I go there so I'm not anymore. I've decided that being "homeless" is far better than living with family that hates you. So yay! I've got friends couchs a tent and a sleeping bag woot! Darn water pump on my truck went out last week so this is my only choice. I'm so glad the weather has been so nice I can just pretend the next two weeks are a very long camping trip!

Been a weird day, I couldn't get on FFF from work, and I came home at lunch to work on some stuff with Ami and didn't get a chance to get on until now. Got work tonight, in about an hour, so I just wanted to wish you all a shiny day.

I'd like to think that, no, if you weren't doing a great job, he would not have said that you were. I have no idea if that sentence is structured in a coherent manner. I guess I would just assume he's being honest with you until he tells you otherwise. And ignore the bitches. *snikker* *HK is such a horrible person*

That's a relief. I took what you said about your mother laughing at you as a negative thing as written, not levity. (I certainly don't know your relationship with your mother.) I'm glad that you are able to laugh (or make your mother laugh) about it.

And now you'll have cookies.

Being the geek that I am, the Lord of the Rings Online is something I've been interested in since I heard it was being developed. In true fashion, it seems to be in a staggered release worldwide, so it's still a 'coming soon' title here in Australia, while the US market is already flooded with it.

One thing that's got stuck in my head is some of the race/class combos, and frankly, Man Burglar just sounds kinda hinky to me.

That's so funny! Husband collects t-shirts from every track he's been to, and has a #20 hat and a small sticker on his truck, but that is it. He's not a merchandise kind of guy. He also likes Denny but thinks J.J. needs to go back to Busch for a year or so.
I have been to a few races myself (Charlotte & Dover).
We kindof tiffed over his trip this year, as he "isn't allowing me" to go to D*C, but he gets to go to Richmond. Meh, it's a long story.

I'd say that it would likely be a rather loose definition of "obey".

Robby Gordon - hothead gets him into trouble.
Carl "Flippy" Edwards - Take him or leave him.

At the end of the day, I like to see a different driver win every week. I hate it when one driver wins 4 in a row, or dominates a season. I like to see Rookies have their day in the sun a la Denny, and veterans banging it out. I hate it when fans throw crap at drivers, but love it when a driver is taken to task by the fans for their previous performance.

BTW, I could also be mistaken for one of those crazy "Kasey Kahne" women in that Allstate commercial. That boy is a cutie patootie and needs an older woman to teach him a thing or two...

(HUGS) for Hobbleit cause she's so darn sweet! Go ahead and stare blankly, dear!

Good afternoon all

It's like explaining Cricket to an American. Sure it looks like Baseball, but you can't get past the flat bats and running across the pitcher's mound from first to third base.

They talking about American auto racing--NASCAR--in which you must have a corporate sponsor or several that basically buys you into slavery but ends up giving you the ability to make millions in commercial revenue if you just show up for the job and don't come in last place. You can also option for Sainthood, Martyrdom and Godiness, if you are actually good at it and especially if you die while doing it.

Did I hit all the major points?

My apologies, fair Hob. Talk of stock car auto racing. Mavourneen's hubby and I are of like mind.

And Mav must be, too. Otherwise she wouldn't be able to drop names... Honestly - I couldn't name five pro football (American) players to save my life. NASCAR is my only sport interest.

lol. Never mind explaining cricket to Americans, I don't get it. All I know is you hit the ball and run. And I think I'll stay away from NASCAR. No matter how much anyone can try to explain it to me I'll never understand.

HUGS back Mav.

Get in line behind my wife. And my 70-year-old mother.

The women in the van are all shades of cute.

Turn left.
Drive fast.

The appeal of NASCAR to me is strategy. I love it when I can guess some of the pit strategy.
