this is just a thought. is it possibly to "make" a basket of episodes independent of a major network and sell it TO a major network in hopes of having it take off as a series? perhaps something akin to the DUNE miniseries on sci-fi channel. this might be an alternative method to bring firefly back to mainstream audiences. i've been reading the comments of fans both domestic and abroad, and come to the conclusion that this show has an amazingly broad-based fan following. i find it hard to believe that with this much interest in a show, that somebody, somewhere, will not pick it up and make it into a huge success.
p.s. maybe non-domestic production of some aspects of firefly would lower production costs enough to increase it's profitability to a major or cable network. if anyone else has more creative/realistic ways to help bring back our series i'm all ears.

thanks for the pointing me to the tv-next site. liked the prime-time 2 concept discussed. also, anyone heard of "broadcasting" shows directly via the internet for viewership instead of relying on local network affiliates for broadcasts. possibly having computer-based sponsors like e-bay, amazon.com, etc. to foot bill for production? to close, i personally feel the antiquated tool of the nielsen rating is an overstated and obsolete means for popular approval of tv medium. anyone agree/disagree?

humble.
