Hey guys.. bloody hell its been a while since I last posted a thread! Anyway I was just wondering what different kinds of merchandise people would like to see when the film finally comes out. I'd love to see a computer game with some levels in which you have to perform cerain tasks with a particular character and others where you must pilot Serenity (perhaps with some chase scenes).

I see maybe action figures, a computer game is a good one, some shirts and all that other stuff like that. Assuming it gets publicity an' all.

I'd like to see some novels based on the series. Not sure who I'd suggest to author them, though.

Action figures would be cool. As would be a model-kit of Serenity.

Action figures, a t-shirt, & the shiniest movie poster this verse has ever seen. Not to mention a kickin soundtrack.

You think I look good now, wait till you see me in my new "Browncoat T-shirt"

You know, Novels WOULD be good. Soundtrack too, cause ya know you're gonna love the music.

I mean, there's already merchandice out there, but as far as selling them maybe in stores or in some big website thing like amazon or something, yeah: t-shirts and bumperstickers and action figures and who knows what.

But the biggest thing I'm thinking might come out of this movie is another channel picking up the series. You know Joss wouldn't say no to that!

I think a novelisation of the movie as written by Joss would be great. Plus there's bound to be a comic book adaptation. Not sure which artist I'd like to draw the crew but Alex Ross would be pretty cool.

Plus there's always an outside chance there would be a deal with a major fast food chain. A 'Serenity' burger? Captain Mal fries? Stranger things have happened.

Do you remember troll dolls?
Can you imagine an action figure with fuzzy troll doll hair scaring young girls?

Of course he would also need a rifle with kneecap sights.

Never mind Book! What would Inara's action figure do?! 12" Resin or Vinyl model kits of the crew would be very cool!

Let's see:
Action figures
Clothing
Models
Etc.

It doesn't matter. Just keep it all coming!

RPG of course, and lunch boxes as was suggested would be shiny! Computer game where you tramp around in your ship looking for work would be nifty as well (even though it's been done before, FF would do it better). Could use a Browncoat myself.

Along the lines of the model idea it'd be kinda cool to see a LEGO Serenity with little lego crew. The SW stuff they've done has all turned out pretty cool so doing the S shouldn't be that big a stretch. And I agree that the coats would be neet as well as a table top RPG just please not d20, heh.

I´d love to see some of those "cut-away-posters"
of the Serenity, like the one of the "Enterprise D" here: " http://www.posterplanet.net/enterprise.htm"
Those are really shiny.

Absolutely! Between the two dominant types of RPG's I'd choose something skill based like Traveller or GURPS over D20 or other level based systems, but what would be ideal would be some new design that does a better job of integrating personality and character relationshps into the game play.

With a little twist of the origianal Traveler, you could most likely get Firefly to fit. I'm going to try soon...

Definantly need a Browncoat. We ARE Browncoats, after all. It would fit.

Also, I remember someone saying something about Mal fries. Wouldn't "Kaylee Fryes" be better?

An updated (by River, of course) bible sounds cool. On an off note (sort of), has anyone read "Cat's Cradle"? An updated bible reminds me of Bokonism...

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Quite honestly I would buy anything Firefly they put out!

Really though, I would like to see a Serenity model, a behind the scenes book, a novel (perhaps novel series spin off), any kind of apparel would be cool, and action figures for my son.
