The old thread ( http://www.fireflyfan.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=28342&m=485210#485209 ) was 30% past the Mandate, so here is a shiny new one.

Drink up everyone, and enjoy yourselves.

Now, back to the important bit about punctuation, why was RIMG's first answer 'correct' when can't you infer different meaning by altering the punctuation and you can only be 'correct' if you know the exact original intention behind the sentence. I'm not trying to to difficult just don't understand in my poor confused state.

I think I need more tea!

Oh, uh... it was actually a joke rather than an actual grammar question The punchline being that RIMG's answer is "correct" since it changes the meaning of the sentance entirely from something saying women are nothing without men to something saying men are nothing without women.

I was just trying to be funny. Clearly I failed. People never get my humour. I think I must be an artist... or some kind of misunderstood genius...

Morning all!

*pours himself a mug of the Good Stuff*

DTH I thought your joke was funny!

So how is everybody today?

Day 3 - Smoker's Log ( or non-smoker)

Last night was pretty bad. I had a screaming head ache and Laurelin was not doing much better. She took a bath to get away from the rumble of my house and then I ran to the store with the little one to get her some Rum (and me some Labatt)when she was done and some flowers to cheer her up. Seemed to work well enough.

Head ache is back again this morning. I think it might be psycological (sp) but it could also be withdrawls cuz the gum doesn't help that much. Who really knows.

And speaking of psycho this made me smile:

Yes I know a little morbid. Kinda the mood I am in right now. Plus if you have seen the movie this scene ain't too bad.

kelkhil and mavourneen - you are awesome. You are more than awesome. You are engaged in a battle that defines humanity itself. Every moment you refuse to give into your cravings, you prove that humanity is more than biological impulse and cellular responses. You prove that the mind is greater than matter. You prove that conscious thought is greater than unconscious desire. Descartes would be proud.

quiting smoking is tough although luckily I never started so don't know first hand, don't know how you guys are going about it but my other half gradually reduced her number per day making sure the rgular ones i.e. in the car on her commute to uni were stopped first until she got down to 2-3 a day and then stopped completely.

Still, good luck to all of you quiting!

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Buzzaire is, quite simply, a caffeine inhaler. One squeeze, one inhale, and you've just rushed 150mg of caffeine into your blood stream. Mints or drinks have to go through your digestive tract first before partying in your blood (or through your skin, in the case of caffeinated soap). But the lung/blood barrier is the fastest way (other than injection or IV) to get caffeine into your system. Not only will you get one heck of a rush, but you'll also freshen your breath! A hint of peppermint oil in each puff will give you a little extra perk with its peppy zing. Buzzaire can beat up your air!

Warning: Do not take more than 4 doses in a 24 hour period. Too much caffeine can be fatal. If any abnormal symptoms develop, please consult your doctor.
