Wow! I leave the thread for a couple of hours and come back to a full blown imponderables thread rattling towards the mandate.

Hey all! Great to hear that HK is okay and her stuff isn't too damaged. What are we pondering today?

Jonny, you have successfully ruined the wonderful image I had in my head of me wearing my gorgeous prom dress.

Yes I KNOW it's not my prom dress. I never went to my prom. And the dress is from some museum somewhere. I just liked the pic.

Still, I like to think I could carry it better than that image.

*shudder*

I'd offer you a stick to beat your boss with Tina, but since he has one up his butt he might enjoy it

Mav- ooh quitting is good. You wouldn't want Tidbit to do it, and kids are 5-7 times more likely to be smokers if their parents smoked ( even if their parents quit or lectured them about not starting)...on another note..you will seriously die when you read White Night ( you will NOT believe how Thomas has been feeding ...it's not bad, just funny and the revelations about Marcone are mind blowing)

Kelkhil- we're with you darlin...and tell Laurelin the same thing!!

Oh the chorus of whining is almost to deafening proportions..kids taking a practice test( you'd think I just sold them to slave traders)LOL

Ninja Kitty ninjas in and out, FlyVote beams in and out. Isn't it about time for NVG to streak through?

Feelin' for ya HK. Aside from the emotional trauma that comes with this, there's all the inconveniences and logistics and paperwork that adds to the stress. Hope everything works out as smoothly as it can.

'Tis the only image I've ever been allowed of you. Could been much better. I mean, look at Hobbleit, for example.

HK,

Your admonishment is duly noted. I will look into getting renters insurance. Because you're right...replacing my DVD collection would be close to $10k (eek, that sounds so horrible, like all I ever do is buy DVDs.) That's not to mention any clothes I would like to have to wear.

Mavs: Fanny is a feminist. She believes in education and choice. She's not taken in by society's idea of what a woman should be or who she should marry, but instead knows that there is more value to her than beauty and "accomplishment."

Yes, Fanny is a little too good, which is why I think people don't like her. She does fail but doesn't let that failure trap her. She's strong enough to admit she was wrong.

I'll stop now, but I don't at all see Fanny as prudish.

My mom smoked like a chimney until I was 11 or so. I ALWAYS hated smoking. I hated the smell. I HATED the actual cigarettes. I couldn't stand touching them when mom would ask me to bring her one...or even the pack. To this day, the thought of picking up cigarette butts makes me nauseous.

Mom still smokes, but it's been on the sly for many, many years now. She thinks I don't know, but I'm sorry, there's not much that sounds like the drag off a cigarette when you're talking to someone on the phone. That and when I go to her house to visit, she will have to go to the store for "milk" and a ten minute trip takes her 45. I think she's getting her fix.

Notice the Aura...?

All seriousness aside, Kitten, it was nice to see your feined smile in the piccies thread. Take life breaks often. As often as necessary. At some point the overwhelming deluge will give way to its undertow and drag you back. But I'm with them wot says three fires is enough. Used to live in a complex like that. Yearly conflagration. Started thinking it was a Guy Fawkes thing. Thankfully they were always away from where I was.

Ha! I'd forgotten that was him!

Yep, the books have the same name as the show. The stories are different though, and some of the "rules" of the universe so you can watch the show and read the books.

Thank the maker 'cause the dresses have been so skanky in the past few years (Didn't see a single skanky dress at teh imponderable prom). There really is something to be sad for letting the imagination fill in the blanks.
