I guess if I were actually coerced into the race at this moment it'd be my CR-V but if I could drive anything I'd make it a Dodge Dart:

I have always been A Camero fan.
If I had the cash I would own a 327 RS.

I admit the Challenger Nathan is diving now is awsome. But to finish that race with the landscaping truck would have been great. I would have loved to see him cross the finish line with that bent up crate. Loved it when the bumper got all twisted. It added to the character of the truck.

Tried to do this over on MySpace, but it didn't seem to catch on too well.

This is the car I'd be "forced" to Drive. Hubby's 1998 Mistubishi 3000GT VR4 Twin Turbo.

And yes dears, this mommy of two can drive a stick shift!

Hubby usual comment: Only true car nuts would know this car. This comment is usually followed by, "It's not an Eclipse, damnit!" Except he uses more colorful expletives than that. LOL

This one actually has a 440 and doesn't have the T/A decals, but it has the T/A hood.

If the race starts right now I would be forced to take my Dodge magnum, but if I had my choice of any car I would go with a BMW 760li v12, this way i have close to 500bhp to get me were im goin fast, and i would be as comfortable as possible in a beamer of course.

I'd pit a Venom 1000 against your BMW any day 1000 HP, 1100 pounds of torque and can go from 0-200 faster than an Indy car, all with the interior of a Viper. May not be as luxurious as the BMW, but it'll get there a whole lot faster.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Here's what I would be inclined to take:

[img] [img]

2006 Aston Martin V12 Vanquish. 520-horsepower 6.0-liter V12 engine w/ a top speed in excess of 200 mph. It has an aerodynamic splitter for better high-speed stability, revised steering geometry for quicker response, standard Sports Dynamics suspension, and six piston front brake calipers.

Dream ride: Factory armored & supercharged Audi A8 W12 w/ ride flats & sub-micron filtered ventilation.
Not knowing what's ahead & how 'serious' the competition may get, I may now ignore small arms fire, spike strips, tear gas, etc. AWD & traction assist programs help tremendously with any 'less than optimal' road conditions.

Could get if I had to:
Mitsubishi Lancer EVO-9. Quite possibly the best factory built rally car around.

Would drive if forced to leave now:
My ride, a Yamaha FJR1300.

Not my bike, but same make/model/year/color.

I agree. My choice would be the beat up mid '70s Ford pick-up. A race like this is more about sheer will and guts as opposed to speed and technology. Them high power rides require an enormous amount of maintenance but a beat up Ford will run with no oil or bumpers for few more miles.

I wouldn't be surprised if he ulitmately does as a symbol of him crossing the finish line as the new, good Alex and not the old criminal Alex. Plus, hes in the truck in the credits!

Browncoat1, I see you already changed your avitar over to Alex Tully's picture.

I'd probably have to take my other love out onto the road: my own '66 Falcon with a 351W. Of course, that means I'd probably lose...

Well, as long as we're hi-jacking threads...

I had the TPS replaced under recall, and that cleared (perhaps only improved) my low RPM problems. Next on the list is a Throttle Body Synch which I suspect will clear a small stutter that I ocassionally experience (It's nothing much, and you'd have to really love the bike to hear it, but it's there).
Are you referring to the +7 Barbarian Mod to the injectors? Or something a bit more radical requiring a PCIII? I've heard of folks getting good results from both, but others have restored to factory; so I'll wait until it upsets me

So, yeah, I'd take my bike

I dont know how to post a pic but this what I would LOVE to Drive. If I wanted to Win that is.

1001 horsepower equip the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 with a level of acceleration unheard of in the sports car segment, propelling it from 0 to 60 mph in just three
seconds and past the 200 mph mark in a mere 14 seconds. Thanks to its 923 lb-ft, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4’s enormous propulsive power is not exhausted until it reaches
252.3 mph (406 km/h): the maximum speed for which chassis and drive train have been designed. Any further performance escalation is limited by current design and construction.

I'm not a big car person, so the only thing I can think of is something Nathan would likely find offensive, so I'll just move on from this post. !!!

Edit: And by I mean that there's some ...among other things. 'Cuz apparently Traveler got a little confused. Sorry about the mixup. Probably shouldn't've cleared it up, but didn't want to continue to mislead Traveler either.

Hello jwwhedonaddict:

I'm no car expert myself. Just know that when ever I see a 68 Camero RS I drool. And if it has a chrome "327" on its fender I must quickly leave before thoughts get to criminal.

So if you have a car or any vehicle in mind, don't be afraid to speak your mind.

After all I want to see Nathan in that truck again. And that means with the front bumper hanging off, like he left it.

EDIT:
Can't post without putting up a picture.

Yep, exactly, after checking out the board at http://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?showtopic=18912&hl=barbarian that's pretty much what I'd do from the get go on the '07 model I'm seriously considering buying.

Been bikeless since '04, when my '89 FJ1200 finally blew its bottom end after 200... um, *calculates* (we Kanadianz kount kilometers, eh) about 120k miles of sporty touring goodness: which is a great mileage return on an investment on an air cooled power plant. Frankly, all of the other mods that are suggested are either expensive or promise tweaks to miniscule problems I'd likely not notice. Oh, but I do like the promise of this ride!

The chequebook sez I can do this. What's lacking is my desire to again rack up points against my driver's licence, yeah.
