I first discovered Firefly when the BDM trailer first hit the Net in April '05.

After doing some investigation, I downloaded "Serenity", "The Train Job" & "Bushwhacked" in RealPlayer, then ran out and bought the DVD set.

Watched 'em all in two 7-hour sessions!

Since then, I've happily taken note whenever new/veteran Browncoats report the same pattern!

So let's get a show of hands from all you "Double-Days"!

...Yussss...husband and I did just that as well. Saw the movie on HBO or Showtime. He went out and got the DVD set and over two days (workdays, mind)...we watched the entire thing...pausing so often to ask each other "why did this get canceled?"... So that's two more for your 2 day tally.

I've watched it over two days, over three days, even all in one day once (including the movie). Granted the one day was while I was on vacation, so I didn't have anywhere to be.

Watch out they don't take to kindly to pirates in these parts.

If you quote the whole line then you can see why its okay. Downloaded them to preview then bought them. Its folks that just download, claim to be browncoats, and never fork out any money to help the gorram series that piss people off. My jackass roommate is unfortunately among this crowd.

2 days for the series, and a third for Serenity.

I would have done them all in two but I couldn't go out and buy the movie at 4AM!

Day 4 was spent searching for a copy of "Those Left Behind" and reading that a couple times.

And day 5 was all about having nothing left to ingest. :(

Discovering you guys has helped though.

Late last year my sister and her boyfriend requested that I bring my boxset. For two days nothing. On day three he says, "let's throw this in and have a look". Long story short I was held hostage for a non-stop viewing of the entire set.

BULL SHIT!!! I call Shenanigans!!!! Everyone can list the closest 24 hour Walmart... SO @ 4am had you really wanted to... you could have. But I still say awesome for you.

I was loaned Serenity... after much, much begging from my friend to get it back him ... he bought him self another copy, and I bought him lunch ... then he told me there was a TV SHOW... A 4 pack of Sobe Adrenaline, and 4 disks later. I spent 2 hours trying to find a glimmer of hope for another movie, or more of the show, with nothing more to show for it than a membership to a website with fellow hopeful friends.

Me and my buddy Have sat down and watched the whole series straight on through 3 times.

PS~ Last week I gave my friend that loaned me serenity the first time, who's copy I still have, the box set of Firefly for "Firefly it Forward", because he still hadn't seen them and just said thank you. He's Hooked.

Hey, not everyone can list the closest Walmart, 24 hour or otherwise. I have no clue where the closest one to me is, but it's probably at least 30 miles from my home. Until I went to my brother's wedding in Kentucky last summer, I hadn't been in a Walmart for close to 5 years, and I haven't been in one again since. They just don't build them around here, apparently. Luckily I was given the Firefly DVD set for my birthday -- my husband and I also watched the whole set over a Saturday and Sunday, so count us in the two days category. And then we went and ordered Serenity on Amazon.

LANCE

Well I did the opposite. I knew that the movie and series both existed before seeing either. I also read up on what happened to the series before seeing it. So my wife and I watched it in it's original broadcast order the first time, and spaced each episode a week apart. We knew it would end and wanted to make the first time, with it's anticipation, last as long as possible.

Did you actually watch the "Serenity" pilot last?

And to get the true F*X broadcast experiance you have to randomly put a few baseball games into the rotation.

Another "Double-Days" here. It was a Saturday evening a few months ago and I'd nipped back the house from the pub for my tea (supper, dinner etc, whatever you call it) and I thought I'd stick on the pilot as I had some time to kill before heading back up for round 2. This was my first time watching the BDS so lets just say I didn't make it back to the pub, or to bed till disc 2 was finished. It was my intention to go all the way and watch the lot but the afternoon's drinking and the destruction of a good few White Russians at home saw to that idea.
Never mind, discs 3 & 4 were watched on Sunday along with the BDM. Best hangover I ever had!

I did that. I downloaded the movie (I'm absurdly poor, I couldn't afford to buy it then) about a year after it came out. Loved it. Then wanted to know the backstory and found out there was a TV show. Downloaded all of the episodes. Felt like I was doing some serious betrayal and wanted, no, needed to do something to support and actually have the DVDs. I went out first thing the next day since I'd watched all of the episodes the minute each one finished downloading (started late at night and finished all of them early in the morning) and bought the box set. I had to scavenge my room for at least an hour to dig up enough loose change. I had a nickel left after I bought it. Then got the BDM for Christmas a few days later.

Since I've had both the box set and movie on DVD, I've pulled one and two day marathons several times.
