Why doesn't everybody in the 'verse have a lovebot for themselves? For singles they're perfect, & for married folk...well if you must stray, then what better way to stray; at least it's not a total betrayal The lovebot is also perfect for the ever-popular threesome, guaranteed to spark up your dull & predicatable sessions in the sack. Also, wouldn't lovebots be a serious competitive threat to the whole concept of Companions? I mean why rent, when you can buy?

1) FP is a good film and I appreciate its Shakespearean references. I suspect that I am more moved by the relationships and effects in other films.
2) Different places have different cultural values. Out on the border planets there may not be the coin for it, in the core it will depend on local customs.
3) Why don't you write some fanfic on it... if you're interested.
4) Good against Remotes is one thing, Good against the living is another.
5) Who's the hottest female robot :
a) Lenore
b) Cherry 2000
c) Galaxina
d) Evil Maria
No comment.

6) Because they fear Dr Who if they get it wrong.
7) Some like the spotlight, some don't. My example is Andre Braugher, one of the finest actors of his generation. He has a 'Star Quality' that sets him apart but he has chosen not to go down the route of total stardom. Who can say what lies in the hearts of our BDH's?

In the journey of our life we come to realise through experience and accident the secret thoughts of our own selves, hushed up by our own fears and the media culture we live in. When we listen to ourself we may hear and discover a new destination in our journey.

I'm not convinced that our BDH's will ever be tabloid news fodder but I could be wrong.

We could do a TV show, and get Gavin McLeod as the Captain, and have a catchy theme song...

Love, exciting and new
Come Aboard. We're expecting you.
Love, life's sweetest reward.
Let it flow, it floats back to you.

Lovebot soon will be making another run
The Lovebot promises something for everyone
Set a course for adventure,
Your mind on a new romance.

Love won't hurt anymore
It's an open smile on a friendly shore.
Yes LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! It's LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! (hey-ah!)

Love won't hurt anymore
It's an open smile on a friendly shore.
It's LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! It's LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! It's
LOOOOOOOOOOOVE!
It's the Lovebot-ah! It's the Lovebot-ah!

Apologies to Paul Williams & Charles Fox!

I'd like one of those implants Baltar has in BSG... although I might opt for the Boomer version, if there is one...
