That would be great! This year is going to take a while to sort out but next year...? The chance to meet members of my Browncoat Family that couldn't make it to D*C? I've always wanted to see NYC other than on TV or in the movies...sigh.

Of course I can't commit yet, but I will make it if I can.

Yes, Miss Bryce. I can drive to NYC ! I'd probably take the train, though.

Mine does that, too now and then. Do you have more than one FFF session open? (I always do.) You may just need to clean out the cookie crumbs from your cash drawer. (oh dear, RW / OLW cross-over alert) from your cache file drawer. (better, the rift has been closed but there is still some seepage)

LA, I'm told by my NYC born coworker that NYC is a 6 hour drive from DC, about 4 or so via train.

Yeah, but you guys (esp those in CA) get random BDH moments. Like the one Browncoat (I think its the guy who wrote The Treausre of We Long Fui (sp?) series met Morena while at work in a B&N in Santa Monica or something...and the guy who saw Nathan leaving a theater...and someone saw Joss in Venice Beach. And the girls scared out of their minds when Nathan pulled along side them in his car and said he liked their Slither bumpersticker.

All I ever see is gorammn Dick Cheney shopping at White Flint Mall.

Okay. I didn’t think the subtlety was so subtle on this one. And explaining a joke can only rob it of its humor. Of course, the humor didn’t make it across the signal so I guess there’s no harm.

“Coworkers”—apparently a new PC term of which I was not aware before today—who bring in the cattle to make the leather that gets used to make the furniture that Mavs says she deals with. I’m just saying that maybe when she says she’s in the leather furniture business it’s at the wrangling end, not the commercial end; supply and not sales.

No 2am pizza? You have to buy booze at a store that specializes in booze sales?

Well as long as MrG isn't planning on using the Serenity logo as a bullseye I guess I'm ok with...wait no I'm not. I still think tattoos are dumb. And how are you going to feel when Joss loses his mind George Lucas style and Serenity Episode I comes out? There will be a goofy CGI reaver that joins teenage Mal on a slap stick adventure where he falls for princess Hillary Duff. Right about then laser removal is going to sound pretty sweet.

Well, as you are distinctly in the minority here with your non-tattooed body, I think the correct phrase you should have used is : "I still think a tattoo is not for me."

Humans have been tattooing themselves for several thousand years. If it ain't for you, no problem. But if it is for someone else, you should respect that, too.

I'm pretty sure I still think it's dumb. I respect lots of people who do dumb things though. I think drinking is dumb. I'm fairly sure that the majority of people do that as well. I don't try to get people to stop doing dumb things. That's not my job. Though I am still going to think they're doing something dumb.

OK now back to work for me and I'll probably fall too far behind to post again today
