There is talk on a new series and there is also talk of another movie, which one will happen or maybe something entirely different will happen maybe they will continue the verse in book form or comic maybe what do you all think about the option and which one do you think would be the best way forward?

What we know is that there IS a new comic planned this year. There IS a re-release of the film, "Serenity" because the DVDs sold so very well. Vol. 2 of the Official Firefly Companion is due out this year as well.
If you're asking what I'd like to see - hands down a return to a series WITH THE ORIGINAL CAST!! YAY! My opinion only..will it happen...**sigh** don't know; if wishes were horses "we'd all be eatin' steak" as Jayne once said.

Well... We'd all like to Hope that Firefly will come back. Will it? Who knows?
Fox is worse than Wolfram & Hart, and Universal is not much better. Bastards. Unless someone really wants it back among the Higher-ups... most likely, there'll be a series that chronicl of the Alliance-Independent Civil War, with Mal, Zoe, Tracey, Monty, and so-forth- they said they wanted an Action-Drama, wheras Firefly was more of a Drama.
So... who knows? Either or would be equaly shiny

Theres talk of people wanting a new series and a new movie, but none are in the works or being talked about by anyone important that I know of. Comic books and SE DVD soon, yes, but thats it.

As for what I would personally like...a mini series/season 2 (season one was short it wasn't much more than a long mini series (hell, that damn Taken "mini" series was A LOT longer than Firefly) taking place between the series and the movie (this way we get to see the whole cast together for a little bit longer). Then I'd like to see a few more movies (however long it takes Whedon to tell the story) following up Serenity.

Thats my dream scenario. One day I'll pick the right lotto numbers and we'll be set....one day....

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

The only thing we know for certain is that the new comic mini series "Better Days" is coming out soon. That and the "Special Edition" dvd for the movie "Serenity". Other than that, who knows? Universal is silent and Joss says there is no calls coming his way from the Powers That Be.

At this point it is business as usual for the browncoats and that is spreading the word and bringing new fans onboard.

everytime series talk comes up, i get so worked up. i'd really like for the series to come back renewed. but what really upsets me is how many crappy, unoriginal, just downright luh suh shows that are on tv right now!!! how can such a great series get whacked in one season? no offense battlestar galactica, farscape, star trek (any series), anything on upn/wb... c'mon! none of them hold a candle to firefly. i don't even like tv generally. but when you kill something this great...

In my opinion the series should be continue it is good that firefly is going to live on in a comic, i hope that they pick up the series that would be my choice of a continued verse

i do agree with you that firefly had something that other series lsck but i hsve disagree with you when you refer to Battlestar galactica it is in the same spread as firefly in the sence that it is not an idealistic world it is closer to a possable future of the human race both highlight the stupidity of the human race in our endless search for an easier life BSG in a creation of a slave race of machines and firefly in there attempt to make people more complient and less hostile towards one another at least that is ehat i think
