I was wondering if I could get my 7 & 7 down by the beach?

It's one of those days I wish I lived in the Maldives... Why can't I be drinking in a hammock over the water instead of processing orders for furniture in Maryland???

Hey RIMG! I have that very sign hanging in my living room! Guess I need to get to the picture thread pretty darn soon with proof.

How everyone? A Foxy Firebird? Has a ring to it...

Morning Pengy. Loved the kitty boxing pic on the other thread.

So Maldives is one of those words like Endive or Belize that I only read in print or hear pronounced by less-than-reliable sources. Either way Maldives looks like a great place to fall out of a hammock. Or palm tree ala Keith Richard.

Well, I'm seriously trying to supress the Warrior Woman right now. The salespeople here are all interior designers. They don't think like you and I...they are in their own little worlds and disregard even the simplest "I need a signature on that" because to them, it isn't important.

I understand they think with the right side of their brains (more artistic) and I (who processes their crappily written orders) am more left brained...I just don't think its too much to ask to write down a frakkin' model number.

JQ - it doesn't surprise me in the least that you have that sign, though photographic "proof" would be cool too

Mavs - I like RedLava's idea about not processing it, so long as it doesn't get you into trouble. You could always stare blankly at them until they signed it as an alternative.

* makes RedLava an Irish coffee with plenty of Lite whipped cream *

I wish not processing it was an option. It would serve them right...the salespeople are only paid by commission, so not proceesing an order hurts them. I've tried the blank stare, the disapproving mother, and the outraged coworker. Nothing works.

Unfortunately, the lead offender of the salespeople also brings in the most business...so his faux paus (s) are treated with a smile, a nod, and a promise to do better....but not much else. It is tolerated, so I can kick my heels all I want. I just have to clean up messes behind him and make sure nothing is ordered wrong.

Meh. Whatever. Time to put my big girl panties on and just deal with it.

Another round for everyone, on me.

It's a phrase someone on a fav show of mine uses to indicate "Grow up and get a hold of yourself, act like an adult." (Get rid of the diaper?)

(The show is Clean House on the Style network. They go into impossibly cluttered homes, pull everything out and sell it at a yard sale, then use the proceeds to professionally redecorate and organize. I love this show.)

The hostess of the show tells it to women who are unable to part with stupid stuff in their lives, like 400 stuffed animals, boxes of magazines, etc. "Put your big girl panties on and let go of that foolishness."

Au contraire, mon fraire.

It is not wrong to link to anywhere else on photobucket. It is an image hosting service, and the links are provided for anyone to use, at any time. You are supposed to use the links. They (bucket) generate revenue from paid accounts that have various high end abilities/storage abilities, and from ad revenue.

A small website that hosts info about Art Frahm ( the artist who drew that pantie pic) pays its ISP by the gig, or the meg...and linking to one of THEIR pictures causes their monthly internet bill to go up. And that's not nice.

(BTW, one of the salespeople that normally calls me the "Order Nazi" called me "Buzzkill" today. I laughed and he looked at me funny. HA!)

So does that mean that if too many people are linking to pics in your bucket, you'll exceed your bandwidth? And your account won't work?

Hmmmm. Interesting. I always thought (mainly because img tags are provided when you look at someone else's pic) that linking was a-okay.

I will look at their info again, and adjust my behavior accordingly.

Yes, photobucket accounts do have a limited bandwidth, and I don't pay for mine, which means it's more limited than the still limited pay accounts. Last month I got up to 80% of my bandwidth, which made me a little twitchy.

Well, after doing much 'Bucket research, I have come to the conclusion that:

a) It is probably okay to linky-dink someone else's pics from their 'Bucket.

Here's my own 'Bucket stats.

Account Dashboard
Total Pictures and Videos: 173
Monthly Hits: 1000
Album Size:
6 MB (0%) 1 GB

Monthly Bandwidth:
6 MB (0%) - 10 GB

As you can see, from 173 pics in my 'Bucket, I have used (on a monthly basis, 6 MB out of the 10 GB available to me. That's nothing at all, and that's including anyone anywhere who has posted directly from my 'Bucket. And I have a free account. No upgrade.

Usage sets back to 0 on the anniversary date of your bucket enrollment every month. It doesn't count anything you have previously posted.

Unless the person you link from is posting 10 GB or more per month...and that is HUGE...I can't understand how you could exceed bandwidth.

EDIT: 80%??? PR? Holy Hannah. Maybe it is from people for whom you've made banners, etc, not having their own accounts but linking from yours?
