Whoa ! I'm surprised not to see a thread about this tonight !

The Joss-directed episode of " The Office " aired on NBC this evening...NICE , very , very nice !

Now , if NBC will only have the vision to buy

Firefly-rights from

The-Network-That-Shall-Inherit-Everlasting-Infamy !!

What the hell am I talking about ?

" The oxen are slow , but the Earth is patient ."

(If you have to ask...Don't !)

It will become clear if you'll just read the post that I made above , or the comments of others that will follow...

They might have full episode reply on the NBC site for the show. It was very good, I really enjoyed the episode. I love how in a single show Micheal can go from being a complete pompous ass to a gentile, kindhearted man and it be entirely believable. Good show, glad to here the boss (Whedon) approves.

Me-too-kinda, but it was well covered at
http://www.whedonesque.com and some other
places...
I'd like to know if they purposely asked Joss
to direct this episode with all the vampire
touches or it was just the luck of the draw.
Somehow I think that directing a bat
was intended for JW and, in fact written for
him.

Maybe everyone is at the NBC boards.

Anyway, I thought it was excellent. I was hoping for a little 'Shout-out' to the Browncoats...but that's okay.

This episode made me like Michael a little more.

Anyone else?

Sadly no.. just the two minute recap right now.

I have been catching up a lot of eps of shows that I miss by taking advantage of the wonders of watching them online.. and had counted on being able to see this ep online as well. Sadly, not yet.

I was so pleased that Joss was directing an ep. Oh, how I'd love it if he'd come back to weekly tv again!

Go to www.drivefans.com for more info!

Ask me how to join the Appreciatin' Nathan crew!

When we're down, don't frown. Come join the camp-out at serenitymovie.org. Someone think of a name and we'll start a crew over there!

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I watched and really enjoyed it. Loved the prank that Jim pulled on Dwight.

Michael is like a trainwreck. It was pretty cool how he went from a pompous jerk at the beginning of the episode to a warm caring person at the end. Maybe he is growing a bit.

Mmmm , thank you very much...

If you'd like a saving grace , and to just forget about it...

Maybe you should just edit away the snarky sneaky stuff , and I'll revise this post , and we'll forget it before it starts being more ridiculous .

You posted within 5 minutes of my message that started the thread ,

" What the hell are you talking about ? "

I suppose that in the interest of saving face , you deleted your comment , but now you want to start sniping again , in a bit of a judgmental way ,

" MMMM , gracious . "

Isn't that somewhat hypocritical ? Dude , if there's something you don't like about my posts , just say so openly . You don't have to be passive-aggressive and cowardly in your responses . I would have expected more from you .

I'm not interested in engaging in conflict with anyone on the boards here , I'm in it for the fun . If you want to leave it at that , then do .

Yes, ladies and germs, there's nothing like the benefit of the doubt. Here's the full story:

I open up FFF.net to this particular thread on a day when FFF.net doesn't seem to be working right. The page loads and I see the following:

And that's all. I think to myself--what in the hell is this guy talking about? So I hit reply and ask just that:

But when the page refreshed and displayed my reply, I saw that o2tb's original post had been cut short by a misload on my first viewing, because in addition to the quote above, I saw the following:

"Aw, crap," says I. "Stupid misloading computer! I better change that toot-sweet because now I just look like an ass" (where all I really was was genuinely confused). So I immediately edited my comment so as not to look like a big fat jerk (which I'm generally not, though I am, on occasion, snarky). But I suppose I'm just a "passive aggressive" coward who edited his original post in order to "save face" because there's something I don't like about his posts. Um, no; wrong on all counts. I edited my original post because the page didn't load and I was only responding to half a post. But hey, if you want to take it personally and start flaming me, be my guest. We're all terribly friendly around here and don't mind being pissed on over a simple misunderstanding.

What we've got here is a tit-for-tat.

"You're not getting the last word! I'll be the last to post a snarky comment, you rat bastard!"

So here's the thing: my initial comment (the very first, now absent one) was totally innocent, the result of a glitch that caused the page to load funny.

My second comment: sure, snarky as hell, because the whole reason I erased the first one was becase in context, it didn't mean what I meant it to mean.

The third: defense against various accusations (e.g. passive aggressive, cowardly), and note that I'm not name-calling. That's your gig.

Now we're at the point of me just saying that continuing this little flame war is just silly. If you wish to continue, be my guest.

Listen up , pseudo-Grammar-Cop : Don't labor under that delusion of yours that suggests to you that I'm in any fashion your
" guest " here...I'm not...

If you intend to just keep embellishing your cover story...I doubt that anyone's impressed . Maybe you should just work on your itchy trigger-finger...

Nothing personal .
" You don't know me , son . If I ever shoot you , you'll be armed , you'll be facing me " , etc.

Forasmuch as it depends upon me , I'm at peace with everyone .

( But if you go off half-cocked , you have to be ready to accept what happens next . )

I offered you the high road--Just delete the snarky comments , and it all goes away...

But , you decided to escalate the conflict , with some more sniping and a lengthy ' explanation ' .

Evidently , you sort of believe your own delusions . That's okay . Sooner or later , your behaviors will catch up to you , and you'll be locked up somewhere with no ninny-net to keep you company .

It's up to you , di-di . Your move . Start deleting the nonsense , stop elaborating about it , it will go away soon enough . No harm , no foul .

Then I won't remove the fly from your forehead with an axe , peng-you... --O2tB
