Thank you :) I heard about the Firefly series somehow, it was months ago. Maybe a year. I decided to get them, watch them and as all of you know, I was in awe. What a great series.
Just finished watching the movie, after dragging it as long as I could, since I knew that was the last bit of Firefly. Maybe forever.

I have long thought about if any news happened about the future of the series, can you somehow update me if there has been anything since it got cancelled?
Any hope, any words from Josh himself or?

I suppose it is at a complete stand-still, no hopes of anything yet? I don't get it, there are so many bad series out there, even some of the same genre but at a much lower quality.
I don't see why Firefly's qualities seems to be neglected or not seen by the money men :(

Buffy and Angel just isn't the same, it might be good quality too, but it isn't the same genre. That was what made me click about Firefly. That is what I can't find anything else to satisfy me with...

Well, I'll thank you if someone could update me on the future,

Bye :)

Welcome Exeel....I am in complete agreement with you and just can't believe that someone hasn't seen what kind of following this high-quality, original and infinitely creative series has/had! As to the future...well, the actors all signed contracts should there be any movie sequels; but those contracts expire in the fall of this year. After the series was canceled, apparently Fox gave Joss the rights to the television show to 'shop it around' and try and find another network to pick it up; no luck. I have read that Joss "doesn't know who owns the rights to the show now"...which is strange...but what I do know is that this marvelous show is 'discovered' by more and more people every week. That according to the Amazon sales tracker at the top of this site, the DVD's have rarely been out of the top 100 sales in years. All we can do really is share the Firefly/Serenity 'love' and spread the word. Vote once an hour for Firefly as the best TV show ever at richlabonte.net/tvvote join SciFi forums and beg. Again...welcome to the site, the 'verse and the obsession.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Welcome to the site eXeel. Glad to have you here with us. Hope to see you posting regularly.

As to what is in store right now, only the limited series comics Joss is working on called "Serenity: Better Days". The events in the comics will take place prior to the movie events.

Speaking of comics, have you checked out "Serenity: Those Left Behind"? It takes place after the events in the series and before the movie.

Be sure to spread the word with everyone you know. Tell them about Firefly & Serenity! The more fans we have the better our odds of a future.

eXeel,

You have heard about the Tim Minear's new TV show Drive right with Nathan Fillion?

The more people see the work of our Big Darn Heroes; the more people want to see the work of our Big Darn Heroes. Leads them to Firefly/Serenity!

Except when they don't. Because both threads have gotten normal replys, so it's just, like, a split thread or something odd like that.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

I give folks a browncoat ( virtual of course ) when they arrive in our midst...
*hands eXeel a browncoat from the storeroom*

Post often, enjoy yourself... feel at home, for that is what this is .. home.

As everyone else has said... spread the word, share the DVD's of the show and the movie with others.
The more folks that become Browncoats, the more chance we have of more.

Go to www.drivefans.com for more info!

Ask me how to join the Appreciatin' Nathan crew!

When we're down, don't frown. Come join the camp-out at serenitymovie.org. Someone think of a name and we'll start a crew over there!
