Be careful, everyone!

It looks like in a day or two "Little House on the Prairie" will move from the nomination chart to the top 40 chart, displacing bottom-of-the-40 show "Bleak House".

As a result, "Firefly" will shift positions on the voting grid from the far left side, up one line to the right. Please be careful when voting. A misplaced Firefly vote will go to Gunsmote.

Please be cautious in the next two days when clicking.

A few interesting points...
It looks like we'll be averaging 1000+ for the month of January... most impressive!

BSG breaks into the top40 today.

Tomorrow LHotP will have more votes than the lowest top20... but will it have 100 more and move in... or be just short and have to wait another day... hard to say.

The joys of working from a government site Have to do all my voting at home from now on, seems there's an Alliance sympathiser running the LAN

Regardless, we're looking good for a 30k+ month

Appears that Xena's vote is on the up, won't make any difference 'cause there's nothing in the 'verse can stop us, we put our minds to it.

I wanted to give back your symbol, but it turned into paper.

FlyVote & VBA Excell coders - An observation while using FlyVote:
While FlyVote is hidden and timing merrily away in the background, I am working on some VBA for Excell.
If I execute my software through to an error or other break point and, while still in run-time mode, make a change that pops the "This action will reset your project. Continue?" message:
Excell hangs.
Interesting eh?
Workaround is to fully stop the execution and make changes from design mode instead of run-time mode. You can still save your project from the VBA IDE window, but Excell will ntb exited and restarted.
I don't know if there's anything to be done about it; so if you code VBA keep this in mind. FlyVote is still running on my machine now that I can work around it.

Note:

It's official; Little House on the Prarie made the cut today, and is being added to the top40 list.

Please be sure to refresh your browsers and watch carefully for the new position of Firefly on the list. Mostly likely, as someone pointed out earlier (sorry typing fast and can't remember) up one row and on the far right... unless Rich decides to use a new ordering scheme (again ;-) ).

That would imply an impressive level of preplanned organization. Especially as FlyVote has noted there're no big flags going up on their boards. Email chain network perhaps?

Xena:
Average votes: 535
Monday: 727
Tuesday: 727 (rare, but not unheard of to have 2 days same)
Wednesday: 1,079

Well now... this could be an interestin' day.

Anybody tuned in to an active board that talks about Xena? Or a google group? Or a private list server?

Well however they're doing it, looks like we have some real competition now, not just some bonanza fans mouthing off at how our show doesn't deserve to be on there b/c they can feel our breath on their necks.

Today's numbers could be very interesting...hopefully they'll plateau or go down. Either way, I saw we see there raise and up them. Time to break 1300.

BTW, I like how BSG, Firefly, and Lexx are right in a row.

Hi all,

Just wanted to remind everyone in case you'd forgot or just plain didn't know that today we're sending letters to the president of the scifi channel or the head of programming requesting that Firefly be used as a summer replacement series with each episode hosted by a different cast member. It would be a limited cost for them and could serve as a way to see just how many browncoats would tune in if the series were revived for new episodes. There is a thread under the Guerilla marketing portion of the website and another on scifi.com boards linked here:
http://forums.scifi.com/index.php?showtopic=2258086

If you go to the eighth page there is a real shiny form letter and enevelope you can dl. Just sign the letter, change the return and address and print away.

Let's see if the Xenites can dust off the ol' fanbase and keep up their votes.

I went digging on the TVVote site, and did find a few references to Xena pulling 1K+ per day for a while, back around late '05, early '06. They also mentioned a few different email chains that get used.

So, to the lurkers:
I'm sorry for thinking Firefly was blazing new trail with 1K plus days. Rest assured, we'll still catch you.

FLYVOTE

We need to reach more browncoats to vote for Firefly.

Honestly, if we could get Nathan or Jewel to mention the effort on their blogs that would open up a large number of potential voters. Get Nathan to endorse FlyVote to his 12000+ myspace friends. If 5% of his friends were to run FlyVote (600 people) and vote 8 times a day, the bump would be 4800 _daily_ votes.

The potential is too large to ignore. I'm not a "myspacer", but more than a few people here must be his "friend". If our captain and our mechanic were to mention it in a publicly viewable log, the positive impact would be great.

How about Whedonesque? Can FlyVote be mentioned there? "Look! Someone wrote a program specifically for voting for a Whedon show!".

We need to step up the campaign more now than ever. Even mentioning using FlyVote in other threads on this board might make people who couldn't be bothered to manually remember to vote before use the FlyVote tool to help.

Spread the word. I know that there are people here that are on other boards. Be invasive. Push. Bring attention to the independents.

I'm a browncoat. I want to do the impossible. I want to be mighty.

I am on a few Xena lists, and they are three lists with almost 3,000 people on each list. and many are voting every hour. Yesterday they got in 775 votes,so we haveour work cut out for us if we are to get ahead. Someone e-mailed the guy about how long he will keep the vote, and I think he said maybe at 250,000 so if XWP makes it to that number first then that is it.

As far as I heard, the vote's not going to stop at 250,000. If a show reaches 250,000 it will be honored in some way, entered into some Hall of Fame or something, but the vote will continue and any other shows that reach 250,000 will be inducted as well. At least that's what it said on the voting site.

Anywho, Bump.
