I'm talking about DRIVE'S official time slot, Mondays at 8pm...the opposite of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (which I'm enjoying this season more than last). It's really not fair--I believe it shouldn't be allowed that shows featuring Jossverse people, or any people from any show that inspired a rabid fanbase--air opposite each other. I do own a VCR, but at that time, I'm usually still in bed (I work from 12am to 12pm) so I basically have to sacrifice one show or the other...or much-needed sleep.

Never watched How I Met Your Mother, not really a sitcom fan. For me, as long as it doesn't interfere with Heroes, I'm shiny.

I don't actually know much about Tivo...other than what Rosie O'Donnell used to say about it when she had her own show. How much does it cost?

It's about $100 plus however much your cable or satellite costs...it's the best thing ever in the whole world. Automatically records shows for the whole season, you can pause and rewind tv for those" did I really just see that" moments, and it never requires you to buy, unwrap, or find a tape...as you can tell I'm hooked

Unfortunately sounds a little steep for me at the moment, but I still might look into it.

Thanks!

And you people call yourselves nerds?

Mythtv all the way. It's the linux based open source tivo alternative. And you get to customize and have all sorts of linux related fun.

It works great once you get it all figured out.

Who needs sleep?

Seriously, even if you don't get an official TIVO, if you have cable or satellite your company probably offers their own dvr box. I got one from my cable company, and it costs just $5.95 extra per month. I can record two different things at the same time, and I also have three vcrs, so I miss nothing I'm interested in.

As for Drive's airtime, I think it's perfect. 24 is one of their most popular show, and they've already started promoting Drive during that show, so it should get a lot of exposure.

Whuh-wait.

Isn't Drive on Fox? 8 Monday is Prison Break's slot! Are they gonna cancel that too?

Frak. I already have three shows on Monday: Prison Break, Heroes, and Dr. Who. Two of whom are on at 8.

I'm a "Medium" fan myself. Gotta love those story twists they keep coming up with. They actually get her daughters involved. They keep it fresh with new ideas.

I also buy the boxed sets @ which time i delete the episodes, and destroy any burns i may have made...

That's my dilemma: I have to choose which to TiVo starting next week, Heroes or 24.

I can do both, but which do I watch @ 9:00pm? Or which first if I'm busy on Monday nights? And do I record both in HD?

Oh, the dillema.

to clear the air abit.... From the article in variety:
"Meanwhile, Fox will launch the Tim Minear/Ben Queen car race drama "Drive" on Mondays at 8 p.m. starting April 16. Show will actually debut the previous night, Sunday, April 15, with a special two-hour premiere episode.
"Drive" takes over for "Prison Break," which will conclude its second season on Monday, April 2. (A "House" repeat will air the following week.)"

When does Drive start? Is it on Fox, NBC, or ABC? I'm eagerly looking for this...I've missed my captain!

Thanks for clearing that up Jadehand, things were getting pretty muddy for a minute there. April is still a long way away, so I'm guessing Drive is going to be more of a summer replacement series, I didn't know that was going to be the case. Hell, my other Monday night shows, Heroes and Studio 60, might done by that time anyway.

Oh I know, its just that three hours of TV (that is three hours of new tv shows that I actually want to sit and watch while not doing anthing else) could be a bit much, especially if I have hw...

While I like Aly, I have to go with Drive. I'm not big with newer comedies I think they try too hard to be funny.

Give me action and drama anyday.

Anyone ever seen Nathan in Two Guys And A Girl. Now for him I would watch any comedy out there, the man definitely has comedic skills.
