PHOENIXROSE

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Warning: much drama follows.

Alright, I went and found your message and comment on my Jayne Christmas card, and it was more like 30 words. Still not much.
Yes you have been ignoring me. You and Tristan in particular have seemed to go out of your way to avoid saying anything to me. Yes I have been hurt by it. Yes I have spent many hours picking apart what I might have done to anger you. Yes I have been very angry with you and yes I have restrained myself from blowing up at anyone and NO I COULDN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! "Oh, yes, CMH is so funny, such a clever boy, yes yes I will respond to everything he says. Oh, PR left? Oh, PR hasn't been in the imponderables for many many threads? Gee I hadn't noticed. Isn't CMH clever for killing something? Isn't it just wonderful? I agree completely with everything he said." You wonder why I'm sick of it all? You wonder why I'm mad? You wonder why I'm blowing up about it? Maybe you should have thought about paying attention to it before now. Maybe... Maybe...
Maybe I should walk away for a bit and see if I can get some perspective on all this before I rip your head completely off. That's all I'm really prepared to do at this point. Much as I wish I could just say "That's okay" and move on, it isn't okay and I'm not ready to just forget about it all.
And for the record, I do think that CMH is psychotic. I never stopped believing that and I'm not likely to. I stopped ripping him to shreds because I was tired of being attacked for it, but my opinion of him didn't change just because a few people's did. I have a very long memory and a rather unforgiving nature, especially when it comes to certain things. It's not name-calling, it's an opinion that I feel is valid, and one that has only grown stronger in the past several months. It would take some serious proof to make me think I was wrong, and you are not likely to provide that. Am I a psychologist? No, but my best friend is, and I've discussed it in-depth with her and read anything that came my way on the subject. Maybe that doesn't mean I'm allowed to say I know what I'm talking about, but it means I'm not ignorant and I'm not just throwing words around.
I ranted way longer than I meant to. It's 11:30 and I'm going to sleep now. Goodnight everyone. I'm sorry for bringing this into such a light-hearted thread.

Okay, PR. This is something I'd normally do by PM, but since you brought it up in a thread I'll respond here.

I haven't ignored you. At least not on purpose. My net time is very limited (as my pathetic blog can attest - I *must* update that soon! Not to mention those waiting on animations I promised *ages* ago!) and I don't always spot people's posts. Sorry, but that's how it is. Similar apologies to LA and Whimsy. I'm genuinely sad that you felt left out, Whimsy as I actually admire you a hell of a lot.

I don't like Chris much, and he doesn't like me much. I disagree with pretty much everything he posts and he does the same with me. Heck, the first thing he ever asked me was if taking medication for depression made me feel like a weak person. For those who ever want to irritate the hell out of me - that's the perfect question to ask! All that being said, we still manage to post in the same threads without starting world war three (much as Chris likes war.) We just, well, disagree with each other whenever and ignore each other whenever else.

You are never going to like every poster on a posting board, and every poster is never going to like you. I *know* I annoy the heck out of people on this board, simply because of who I am and what I'm like. It's bound to happen and it's not a big deal. Even if the person is downright offensive you're much better off tackling the issue than just deciding he's a psycho. I could call Piratenews all kinds of names, but reading the links that he posts to back up his claims and then pointing out that none of them say any of the things he says they say is a hell of a lot more effective. (Plus, you know, funny!) Emotion should certainly fuel an argument - that's what passionate debate is all about - but it should never control it.

Now lets get to the real issue.

You're jealous of Chris.

He's getting attention and you're not. And you're jealous.

I don't think you even realise that's what's going on, but there it is. And it's downright wrong because, personally, I like you more than I like Chris and I'm fairly certain other posters do too. And if they don't ... so what??? Are you *seriously* going to feel ignored because people are responding to someone you don't like???

I *know* you know better than that. And I know you know that you can't force people to pay attention to you! (God knows I've tried!) You just have to post and see who bites.

The LAST thing ANYONE should EVER do is seethe and simmer about it for ages and then blow up in the middle of a thread. If you think someone is ignoring you on purpose you can always PM them and ask what gives. That's part of what PMs are for. I mean, c'mon! You *know* MSG! She's like the biggest mother hen on the planet and the most plainspoken person there is. If you've annoyed her, she'll tell you straight. If you haven't, she knows all about smothering people with love! Same with Tristan. Okay, maybe he's not quite so much of a mother hen, but I have my suspicions. I think he hides it to add an extra air of manliness.

I don't mean for this to be an attack on you. That's the last thing in the world I want to do, especially since you've obviously upset about this. I just had to respond when I saw your post, partly to reach out to you and partly to defend two other posters I happen to like a lot.

So don't be upset, okay? We're all friends here.

*spots Chrismoorehead looking at her*

Okay. Except when we're not. Oh, you know what I mean!

OK it seems that there is only one way to settle this........
*PleaseDon'tFlameMe, PleaseDon'tFlameMe, PleaseDon'tFlameMe, PleaseDon'tFlameMe*

*walks to yet another secret compartment behind the bar (seeing a pattern here maybe?) and pulls out a huge plastic item and places it in the center of the Common Room*

It seems "what we've got here is failure to communicate".

*pushes a button on the side of the item*

Now remember "some people you just can't reach"

*walks behind the Bar and waits as the wading pool inflates.

"which is the way he wants it"

*when the pool is inflated pulls another hidden lever and green Jello falls from the Ceiling into the pool, filling it*

"I don't like this anymore then you"

*reaches under the counter and pulls out a strong box* Opens it and removes 3 Bikinis. Throws them on the floor in front of the pool*

Alright ladies! It seems the only way to settle this is Jello Wrestling!

LETS GET IT ON!!!

PR, I would apologize, but I don't feel the need to. I don't hate you, am not deliberately ignoring you (nor am I actively seeking you out, either), or anything of the sort. Going out of my way not to say anything to you? Not so much...just nothing you have said following the marriage comments awhile back prompted a response in me. As for the Imponderable threads, people come and go in there all the time. I try to say hello to everyone I can, but sometimes it just doesn't happen and people feel slighted. I don't get offended if I am gone for awhile and no one says anything...and I do NOT feel like I am being deliberately ignored, either. The key is to not let things like that get to you. And your reaction to MSG? Totally uncalled for.
It's not worth carrying on, but I have wasted enough time in a happy thread. DTH pretty much summed it up.

Y'all enjoy yourselves!

I really didn't mean to add any fuel to this whole thing. I really do love you all bunches and want everybody to love everybody.

I do know that there's a distinction between Wicca and Paganism and Druidism, usw. I was just grabbing onto one of PR's statements that she was a buffet-style Pagan (I think that's the word; it's at least what she meant, and I can relate to that kind of religion), and when I was choosing my words I went down alliteration avenue. Sorry to all my Pagan friends.

Regarding the PMing (and since this is really my only online community I guessing it would be the same anywhere with me...) I try, as I believe PR does, too, not to have any "secrets" from the group. What's fit for one to hear is fit for all. That said I have engaged in a few--a very few--just the same. Not that there's anything wrong with it: I just don't want there to become anything wrong with it.

Now. This is a Bar. A Pub. A Tavern. An Inn. A Saloon. Unless we've all given our selves over to crying in our beers

let's move all this back to the Imponderers where we genuinely try to get where we're all coming from by listening and sharing and questioning one another so that we may better understand the human condition.

Sure he's got some obvious issues, but don't we all.

This is all I have to say on the CMH issue. One day a couple of months ago in chat he made the comment that while victims of crimes aren't nessicarily always (but mostly) to blame (WTF?) for what happens to them they are at least partly at fault. In his opinion a person should always be prepared and if you are not you deserve what you get.

Since I was there I happend to point out that there are things that a person can never be prepared for and gave what happend to me as an example. He came back and said that I was to blame for most of what happened to me since I didn't just go ahead and jump out the window right away.

There were witnesses to this in the chat but I can only remeber two of them, one being Silence and the other being Aprilise. Most of you may not know April since she doen't post much and sticks to the chat and submitting stuff to the Blue Sun Room, but she is one of the sweetest people I've ever met and she got angry (something I have never seen her do before or since). In fact she normally avoids conflict and always tries to make peace if a fight is going on.

While I don't think he is a psychopath I do think that his attitude shows sociopathic tendencies. What would you say to one of your students who said something like that? This boy has more than just "issues" he is disturbed.

OK this jello fight fantasy of yours is doomed to disappointment Kelkhil

If a student said that I'd make the same assumption I did with CMH. Some people are so desperate for acceptance, yet lack the most basic skills to gain that acceptance and make inflamatory statements in a frantic bid for attention. With time and attention for only appropriate comments ( which I have done with CMH) they develop more appropriate conversation gambits ( which he has) Now that's about all I will say so...

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I never felt ignored by you, DTH. I know you haven't been able to be on much. I've missed you.
As to the problems I've had, trying to talk about them didn't work. Ignoring them and hoping they went away didn't work, either.
I apologize for my manner. I'm still unhappy. But calmer.

No. That's not been the case (from my point of view, anyway) for awhile. I have no desire to go back there.

No Msg you truly don't. Unless you want to laugh at me.

Ok LA, we'll sing loud and off key proudly then!

mornin' drinkers.

and whimsy, MSG, DTH, and Rose-doll, with hearty handshakes for Kelkhil and JQ* (the same goes for any others who are around)

I actually got a little tipsy last night while watching the might of the SEC roll over the best the Big 10 had to offer. Yay for Sam Addams Boston Lager.

Speaking of good beer, my Irish Red should be ready today, so I will try one when I get off. If they aren't completely bad, I will offer to send some out, if anyone is interested. You can pay for shipping or something.

EDIT: I wouldn't mind seeing/hearing any of you ladies dancing/singing, and would even join in so you wouldn't have to feel self conscious about it.

Hey RIMG! That was a good game last night. That'll teach that coward of a coach from OSU. If he'd a voted in the polls they would have faced Michigan so I am glad he got trounced by Florida. he figured that any other team didn't stand a chance and he payed dearly for it! heheheh.

Did you say free beer? I'm game.

Glad you didn't feel ignored by me, PR. (And you too LA!) And seriously, don't count replies and spend hours picking apart what was said / wasn't said / might have been said. No online community is worth that, not even this one.

Kel - My OSU-obsessed friend was very quiet all night long, for a change. PM me your address and I will send a few bottles.

DTH - If only I could be so lucky.

That makes me sad. I'm sorry it all turned sour for you. As long as I can still find you here and on the photo threads though, I shall have to content myself. I am still curious though about the inner workings of your mind so I may yet fire off the occasional "ponder" in your direction...

EDIT: Magda! How good to see you!

All rested and refreshed after your three day nap?

"Well, here I am...Does that seem right to you?"

* hugs his Merri-doll big time *

I am in the Marriot, but that is only across the street (literally) from the Hyatt, so no worries. I stumbled around plenty in my first day last year, and it wasn't an issue.

Singing, laughing, silly, goofy...Get sh*t done.

We can take the jello pool to D*C, it will certainly not be the weirdest thing, and it will add a new element to the scheduled fight with you, PR, and HK.
