Hello all,
Well, I reckon it is time I joined. I have all the dvd's loaded in my multi disk player and will just let them run randomly non stop. Love the show, Love the movie, Love Joss for brining it all to life! The two things I love best rolled into one, the future and the past. I love guns also, would love to have Mal's, or know what they used to make it.
Well, time to go for now, I'll be back!

Welcome to the group! If you get the Firefly Official Companion Vol. 1 (book by Joss..I think) it has all the info on how they made Mal's gun. I would go and get it now and let you know but it is in my truck and the hubby took it hunting. Sorry!

You may be interested to know that there is a replica of Mal's gun (movie version) available from a company called QuantumMechanix (I think that's the right spelling). Unfortunately it doesn't shoot anything, but then it's a bit safer to have around that way.

Hello and Welcome WheelgunGunslinger!! (Do you mind if I just call you WG?) I do hope you feel as at home as I do here - there are folk from all over the 'verse and lots of fun to be had!!

You are not the only one to lust after Mal's gun and I have seen some pretty shiny replicas out there!! I would like one of Nandi's myownself - but being from Australia there is no way I can own one...

Pop in to the threads and chip in when you wish to - the people here are friendly and love to answer questions - we're all browncoats so you are with family now!!

We're glad you're here! Very shiny that you like Mal's gun. Lots of folks do.

I met a Browncoat who had it tatooed on her. Very cool!

As you can see, folks round here are friendly and if we're not feeding you, we're giving you 'coats to keep you warm. That's what I do.. I'm the supply clerk around here and I hand out virtual browncoats to new folks who join our crew.

Join in the discussions often.. go easy on the mudder's milk... it's pretty potent.. and have fun.

Oh, and spread the word about Firefly and Serenity and let others find out how much they want to be Browncoats too.

Wg is fine by my ownself, I's answer to Gunner also.
Mal's gun is somethin I always fancied. Nandi's got some real lookers as well, wouldn't push those aside.
I live in the USA, New England, state of Connecticut to be exact. Having the abilty to own a handgun here is a freedom I relesh and thank my founding fathers for letting me have the right to.
Australia is a wonderous land and couldn't say nothin bad bout it's people and it's traditions.
Very sorry for the passing of a good solider, Mr. Irwin. Very likable and very good cause he sought after. (Wonder if he would have fancied himself to be a Browncoat?)

Welcome aboard! As for a Mal's gun, I don't have a actual replica of that, but I bought a Uberti 1858 Remington whihc has an octagonal barrel and fires .44-cal. lead round balls w/ black powder. Uses percussion caps. Great fun! Always gets noticed at the shootin' range everytime I go. Check out this website for the best priced cap & ball revolvers & sundries:
