MsG: I feel your pain. My old district was the second strictest in non-Arctic Canada, for going as long as possible before breaking for Christmas. Twenty years ago, they didn't break until the 22nd, or the Friday before the holiday, whichever was later (Which seems to be your case...) Nowadays, they break a bit earlier, but make up for it by sending buses through blizzards.

And if you feel the need, James' Sulking Corner and Gormet Coffee Shop is always open for business. Sulking and caffeine know no hours.

I ain't lookin' for help from on high. That's a damn long wait for a train don't come.

Oh and thanks for the offer of coffee but I'm off caffine for now ( SIGH great timing as I am trapped in a room with surly kids and I've had 3 hours of sleep) until I know if I'm pregnant or not ( fingers crossed )

MsG and James, I'm with you, too. My school is open until Friday. I do like getting 2 weeks off. I'm looking forward to enjoying more time at home.

Dear Santa,
I know you really exist. This Christmas I would like a small jet plane, so that I can visit my Browncoat friends whenever I want. If you have trouble getting it down my chimney, you could always leave it at the nearest hanger.

Morning, Mavs.

It doesn't have to be Santa, I am sure you could ask any straight man.
All kidding aside, good luck with the baby-making (not sure if I have told you that yet, seems to be a recurring theme with me).

Were there a real magical wish-granting Santa, I think I would really like unlimited money. Then, I could spend an additional 40-70 hours a week doing things I want to, like learning more or having more time with my boys. I would love to be a professional student.

Sorry MSG, didn't mean to rub it in.

I would ask Santa for a ankle length brown leather coat.
I few weeks ago, I would have asked for a boyfriend, but that seems slightly more likely on its own now, which brings me right around to my still-not-quite-real-but-looming-nearer-on-the-horizon love life...

Now, you may remember my telling you about this guy who had taken a liking to me, and that we were both going to a house party, right? Well, on the day of the party, I found out that he had a girlfriend in the year below us. Understandably, I was upset, I did some screaming, crying and the throwing around of stuff and got more or less over it. but I got to the party, and I swear, if it hadn't been for 'Amber', something would have seriously happened. We were both sober and spent the whole night hanging out together, and there was some serious hitting-on going on. Anywho, I kinda kept my distance, cos of the whole girlfriend thing, and we continued as normal. last week, things started hotting up again (I was swopping numbers with a male friend of mine, and he was getting pretty jealuous!), and I heard from a reliable source that he really likes me and plans to break up with his girlfriend by the end of the year. This was made all the more interesting by him being rather interested in what i was doing new years eve. so we'll just have to see...
Wish me luck!
OK, now I really have to go, I'm freezing my ass off here.
nighty night!

If I had $50,000 I would put it all away for college (big suprise there)

Ooooh - hello my wonderful Immponderables family!! Wow! What a ponderable - I think I already have my dream gift!! Or did none of you hear that I received a Tristan-built Kaylee Jacket from my Kaylee-clone!! (try saying that 3 times quickly!!) ... did you hear me that time Hell's Kitten??

I'd have some obscure, incredibly-wealthy, distant, Irish relative picked my name out of a hat of his/her own distant, increadibly un-wealthy obscure non-Irish relatives to leave lots of money (& maybe a castle and estate) to me - then I would get a drop of Irish blood (that's all it takes... yeah, Tristan?) and enough money to fly first class to Atlanta and spend the rest of my time travelling from place to place spending time with all my browncoat family! Ooooh - and go on that 'browncoat cruise' next December!!

Yeah - got to get back to reality now! Thanks NVG - right back at you Honey!

Hugs MsG you have mail little sis!!

my poor qing ren feel much, much better soon, my sweet...

Hey JohnnyQ... are you really Santa?

Little Albatross!! Hello wonderful friend! It's so good to see you - take care with that shopping!!

Hi BlackShamrock!! How's the weather for you?

Ah... if Johnny posted an actual photo of you, drowning in money up there... could you please fly me to Atlanta?? Nah - I honestly cannot wait for my bear-hugs Honey!

awwwwwwwwww... my wonderful Huggly Q!! I pop in for a moment before I make my dinner and I find my favourite jester in the world here!!

I think I can guess what you want for Christmas

and I didn't realise that my naughty MsG had worded her ponderance in such a way...? He is real, and I work for him... that's right, I am one of Santa's helpers... but none of you can tell your kids that... Oh OK yeah - you can! I've worked for him for years and I know who's been naughty and who's been nice so I keep in touch with him pretty regularly! If you need to tell your Tidbit, Mav, or your gorgeous boys need to be reminded every now and again, LA, or your two divine little boys, RIMG etc... then you can say that one of Santa's helpers is an email away... I keep in touch all year round too, not just beofre Christmas either!!

And santa kindly said I could share a few of his family snaps with you all...

As a baby he was prepared early for his career in 'wearing red'...

He is very secretive so you don't always know if it's really him...

...because, of course, he has his imitators...

...and his devoted wife!

and he has inspired any number of films about himself...

But, in 2000, rumours of his death were drastically exagerated...

And I only once saw him get really mad... I think it was when someone said he didn't exist and you can really tell he's a sort of 'super hero' when he's really angry!! (I think he's related to the incredible Hulk actually...)

Anyway - I hope that helps Q... oh and he said I could let you know that you are definitely on the 'nice' list!!

So's my gorgeous Kaylee Clone!!

MAVOURNEEN

Good Morning, Everyone!!!

Things have ground to a halt in my office...no one buys furniture this time of year, so I don't have much to do. Poor me!

Is my coffee ready?

TRISTAN

Morning, all!
Thank you to everyone that wished me well. Know that I slept a lot and while not quite bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, I am back at work.
I missed most of this thread already! Ack! That's what happens when I am away from the computer!

Santa...I would want him to bring me a 5'8" pale redhead with bright green eyes, a killer smile, and a sense of humor to match my own...in lieu of that, I want a pony and a plastic rocket...

JG, thanks for that cartoon!

And on to Hell's Kitten's ponder; what would I do with $50,000.00? Wow...pay off bills and use the rest for D*C.

Hey, there, qing ren! All manner of things are getting better. Not 100%, but better. Thank you.

Ok, time for more coffee...

MAGDALENA

"No power in the 'verse can stop me!"

awwwww... poor you! But hopefully we get to see more of you!!

I adored your e-card too Mavourneen - I heard my clever Mei Mei had a hand in it! I love Jayne with a halo!!

So it's wake up time in the USA then - is it?

EDIT: Oooooh - qing ren - we posted at the same time!! I am glad you're feeling better! ...but what is this about a pale redhead...? Wouldn't you prefer a 5'5" brunette with a killer smile... who knows how to make tiramisu?

RIVERISMYGODDESS

mornin' Tristan.

I am completely with you on your first wish from Santa, although Magda does present a delicious alternative.

Simple Ponderable (and I am quite positive you have done this before, based on the nature of the shiny people in this thread):

Redheads, blondes, or brunettes ???

You got my height wrong, sweetie! Besides, Husband wouldn't be happy if I moved to Alabama.

You need a Brunette. A sweet Brunette with an accent. A sweet Brunette with an accent who will stand by you thru thick & thin. Hmmmm?

Moving right along...
Glad you liked the card, Mags. I found it on the Net but some doughball had photoshoppped Mal out of the pic and himself in his place. I had PR rephotoshop it (as I am a photoshop LOSER!) and I think it is amazingly corny and wonderful.

*hugs everyone*

I'm feeling good today. Just wanted to spread the love.

Ooh, a 5'5" brunette that makes Tiramisu? I would have to fight off hordes of other men for you!
How many days?

Morning, RIMG. Yes, yes she does. She will not lack for attention at D*C, that's for sure!

Ah, I like that ponder.
Oh my past loves, two have been natural redheads, and they are the one most clear in my mind. Not sure, maybe it's an enthusiasm thing.

Mav, sorry about the height, and I agree that your husband would not be too happy about you moving, but I think you are right about the brunette. And hey, she does have an accent...and she has been with me through it all...hey! Ok, I changed my mind...Santa, I want my qing ren!

And :hugs: right back at you, Mav.

Well, of all the men here, you have proved you have the armory to succeed in such a task. I wish you Good Luck, Warrior.

*shameful admission #46*
