Does Anyone know the demographics of the firefly television viewers. Like who actually watched the show, men women, and what ages? I'm a big firefly fan, and as such I've managed to get permission to write a term paper on firefly and I could use anyones help to get the demographic information. Even if you know where I might go to find it.
Thanks and Keep Flying. (-:

A couple of previous threads (from a fair way back) have asked the age and profession of the people here. I made a search for this site that you could use to find them here:

Good luck

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I think it was watched by a wide variety of people, probably more women than FOX was expecting and fewer men. The age probably skewed a bit older than they were targeting as well.

I did watch the original broadcasts, and I am male and was 52 at the time.

I know the fandom is much broader at this time, with ages ranging from the pre-and-early teen years all the way up to 50-60 year olds.

I actually think that I read that usually stations such as Fox aim for viewer in the 18-24 age group, and that was part of the reason why shows like Firefly get cancelled, because they weren't getting the viewers that they wanted. But then again I could be wrong, I don't always remember stuff like that...
