I'm lucky... my shift changes over the very day before that so I'll get to keep watching it interrupted.

Kinda worries me when they move around shows like that though. Every show that I've loved that got moved around ended getting cancelled. I think Battlestar has too big a following for that to happen though........

Browncoats might find that last statement pretty laughable though.

This is a good change for my own schedule, but I'm afraid this will be the tolling of the bell for the best show on TV right now :(

Who cares. Battlestar Enterprise sucks. The old one is better. Who cares. Starbuck should be a man. Boomer should a man. Women should be cooking in the galley. Robot babes for pleasure only. Get rid of that oily english dude like those people are really that smart, man they drive on the wrong side of the road. How about a brewery space ship flying with em Capt O'Shamus some fat drunk guy, wait is Mel Gibson available.

I'm thinking of movin off the edge.

I don't like the move because "The Dead Zone" will be back and that is the same timeslot, which is surprising since USA and SciFi are sister stations.

I hope that they are moving BSG for a good reason.

Maybe. BSG is such a mature show that they may want to selectively drive away the younger audience, or prevent that audience from forming en mass. If it had been up to me, I wouldn’t have put it on Friday.

But there goes my cool Sci Fi Friday nights.

In classical and post-classical Rome, people rode on the left side. I looked into why briefly a few years ago, but was never able to find any definitive answer. In fact, there seems to be no real reason why countries drive on one side or the other. Although it’s pretty clear that most countries drive on the right, and many of those that do drive on the left, generally seem to because they are following tradition set by the British during Imperial rule. So there seems to be a tendency, at least today, to prefer the right-side of the road. But this is one of those things that suffer from a kind of Uncertainty Principle of historical precedent. That is that the side of the road that is used is likely so unimportant, yet clearly choosing one side or the other is of so much importance, that the tendency seems to be to pick whatever side happens to be the fad at one point in time and stick with it, which may mean that the side of the road that is used becomes influenced by things that have nothing to do with the roads at all, and therefore no traceability. This is further supported by evidence that suggest that as late as the early 20th century, both sides on the road were used in the US and Canada.

They're actually trying to drive the audience back, Chindi. The season premiere of season 3 was significantly down in the ratings, and each episode has lost at least 100,000 viewers each week. They are loosing their audience. Unless the numbers go up, it will get cancelled by April 2007, in terms of economics.

why do people always think irish people are drunks or mad about drink?
i been to the USA they drink way more over there then they ever do back home?

dam yanks

i think moving it to sunday is a good thing....
as if you are in USA you can watch firefly on UHD at 7pm then go watch battlestar at 10 at sci fi..
i think its a better time for the show
friday nights any time from 8-9pm has always been a death slot for shows

look at firefly they used to show that at 8pm on friday nights.
i bet they will get better ratings on sunday

travelers on horseback generally rode on the left side of the road. As more people are right-handed, horsemen would thus be able to hold the reins with their left hand and keep their right hand free—to offer in friendship to a passing rider or to defend themselves with a sword, if necessary.

but looking into it driving on the Right seems wrong, Research in 1969 by J.J. Leeming showed that countries that drive on the left had a lower accident rate than countries that drive on the right, Some countries that have switched to driving on the right (such as Sweden) saw their long term accident rates increase by more than any increase in traffic volumes. It has been suggested, but not proven, that this is partly because it is more common to be right-eye dominant. Traffic flows in a clockwise direction when driving on the left which enables right eyed people to use the right eye to see oncoming traffic. When overtaking on a right-side-driving road, the right-eyed driver looks in the wing mirror with the left eye and also views the oncoming traffic with the left eye which is not suited to the majority right-eyed people.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Where did you read this? Just curious.

My wife & I love BSG and look forward to it every Friday night. Sunday night is not too big a deal for us in terms of days, but 10pm sucks as a time slot. I can always record it since I am up every morning at 05:30am and just can't afford to be up too late.

I feel this move to this timeslot will only serve to further cause the numbers to drop if the info above is accurate.

What's up Irish Browncoat. European mutt Browncoat here, but prodominantly Irish myself. Didn't you realize that when you came here you had to drink 3 times as much to get drunk? Our strongest beers that aren't special orders top off at about 5.5% alcahol, but they're usually about 3 to 4%. I knew a guy from college who transfered from Bulgeria called us a bunch of wusses here with our alcahol, and our coffee. He says that you can't even find a beer in Bulgeria that's less than 15% alcahol.

Of course, I'm just taking this guy at his word and not using the customery 33% over-exaggeration rule, but that would still leave the alcahol twice as strong. And I'm also assuming that it's the same in Ireland, which is probably foolish, but I've always heard from army buddies and people that I talk to online that the alcahol is stronger all over Europe than it is here.

They sell us bottled water called alcahol here and charge us 3 times as much for taxes on it than the product costs.

Oh yeah..... Hope you guys are right about getting more viewers on Saturday night. First Si Fi killed Sliders after FOX dumped it (though I appreciate their attempt), then FOX killed my 2 favorite shows (Firefly, of course, and Arrested Development), and now I have to worry about Battlestar too? Geez... but I hear 2 1/2 men is getting renewed.

My view on the overall intelligence of our species is just reaffirmed every day.................

Sunday at 10:00?
I'm not going to buy TiVo for one show (I tried it once already and it degraded my HD even when turned off, and record quality was worse than tape), and I have to be up at 0500 to get to work. Bye-bye BSG.
I'll catch the re-runs on Saturday afternoons once it gets cancelled I suppose.
They finally had a Sci-Fri that I was watching from 7 - 10 (Heroes, Doctor Who, BSG). The whole family locked in front of the TV, soaking up the advertisements. Oh well.

BSG unfortunately has been dropping in the ratings. It was up to a 1.5 last week, but just as a point of reference Farscape was pulling a regular 1.4 when it was cancelled. Replaced with that show with Shannon Dougherty scaring people. Unfortunately the best show currently on is not going to last.

I thought BSG was doing very well, as evidenced by its spinoff series, Caprica? Has it fallen since it got seperated from the Stargate twins?

For Scifi the ratings aren’t bad, but yes, it didn’t do as well as it did last season. And it seems to be slipping further. For me personally, it doesn’t seem to be regaining the same momentum that it had last season.
