Neilsen Rating book. I hope it is during the time when the FF Marathon is on the Sci-Fi channel. I just got a postcard today saying we will be getting our book soon. If anyone has info on showtimes, I'm writing it in even if I don't get to watch them. I'm going to check out HBO right now to see if they are showing Serenity still. I don't have HBO but they don't need to know that.

Yeah, we just finished up a Nielsen week at our house. I didn't really get a chance to support much in the way of Browncoat programming. Except we did tape Daybreak to watch later.
But in the back of the booklet, there is a place for comments on your TV watching habits. I wrote:

"If the series Firefly were to return to television, our family would watch it without fail, regardless of day or time."

I'm not above begging to get my favorite TV show back. Besides, when else will I have an opportunity to give my opinion to anyone related to TV programming?

So called "Neilsen Families" are families whose TV is hooked up to a device that registers TV habits. It's the Neilsen Families that TV channels get the RATINGS from.

I'm so into Firefly, my butt glows in the dark. And in the dark is where I am, lurking.
Which is somewhat stupid, considering my glowing butt.

Except when you live in a small town like mine. They just give you a paper diary to write down what everyone watches. They sent us a little money too just for participating.
I guess it wouldn't be too hard to fudge if you have a paper diary. I don't see how you can with a device hooked to your TV.

I could do it with my brain.

We sniff the air, we don't kiss the dirt.

I did that years ago in the lake 90s. All they got from me was a lot of Buffy, Star Trek, Charmed and Law and Order. But they sent me 5 dollars, and they were the most pristine dollar bills I have ever seen.

Don't forget that Firefly is currently being shown in High Definition on the Universal HD channel. It's on Sundays at 7:00 ET (check the universal HD web site for times elsewhere). It was preempted once for a Halloween movie, but otherwise it's been available reliably.

Even if you don't have an HDTV you can enter it in your Neilsen diary.

Hmmmm, there's an idea... Pants & shorts with glow-in-the-dark butts!
Anybody got the number for Universal's marketing department?

Thank you, this was the help I was looking for, part of me (a small part) thinks I should be honest but the rest of me is so bitter about this show being cancelled that I'm going to write in every possible time that something Firefly related is on. I didn't get the book yet but I will be checking into the Universal HD thing. Great tip!!! Thank you!

My pleasure. Who knows, maybe this is the last little straw that'll tip the camel over... to mix a metaphor.

Dude, I got 15 dollars! But you're right, those were some crisp bills.
