Lets say all our dreams come true and CW or someone else picks up Firefly to make new episodes, the odds of it being a perfect recreation are slim. Gina Torres is on another show now, she probably signed a contract and may not be able to leave it. Are you willing to have a recasting or (dare i say) Firefly without Zoe? The ship set was slightly different from FF to Serenity, are you willing to accept further changes?
Think long and hard and i want to know what could you or could you not deal with were changes to be made to Firefly.

You don't fix faith, it fixes you.

Obviously, I wouldn't want any changes, as the first series is just perfect, but as far as I'm concerned, if Joss was happy enough for it to be made, it would be close enough to the original to make me happy, too. If it wasn't how he wanted, he wouldn't allow it to be made, and we have to have faith in our Mr. Whedon.

Changes to the set are no problem.

Intellectually, I can accept other actors playing our nine BDM's ( only one actor could ever play Hamlet, right?), but gut level, changing the people changes the chemistry. I think it *W*A*S* perfect.

My real problem is that I still want Wash and Book back...

Nathan is actually contracted to FOX, also. And Jewel is appearing on Stargate Atlantis as of next season. And Adam is on ABC. So you'd have to swap Mal, Jayne, Kaylee and Zoe -- personally, I wouldn't bother -- Firefly is a perfect moment in time, and a way to spoil that is to recreate it all wrong.

I'm pretty much the same - if Joss is okay with it, then I'm okay with it. I love the show, but no one loves it more than Joss does.

I wouldn't be happy with someone else playing one of the characters though. I'd prefer if they were written out, with possibilities of returning for an episode here and there.

As long as the ship looses those funny little feet she grew for the Moovie, I don't care what else they ditch.

I think after all this time and after all this expectation Firefly without changes would just end up disappointing. Maybe not, but you have to admit they is a lot of expectation and they would be a lot of pressure on Joss and the gang if it came back.

However, what changes would I be willing to live with? I don't know.
