The turn around with improvements can take time to focus on, but it will come. Tell me does the sun rise on the desert all at once like they say it does?

Our horizon is comprised of the Stillwater Mountains to the East. As soon as the sun peaks everything turns from dark blue to whatever color the sun decides to shine at the time. Sunrise and sunset can easily be mistaken for each other and sometimes the color touches both sides of the sky. It is truly spectacular.

*wistfully sighs*

Yeah, fella. That's what I'm talkin' about. Those are your silver lining, bub. Tomorrow morning you get out there, and you take yourself a lungful of that air, and let that sunlight bathe you in its autumny warmth and love your life and love yourself because you were chosen as worthy to enjoy that particular moment. I envy you.

Awww. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Maybe because I'm secretly warm and fuzzy inside. Or maybe because its quittin' time. Long freakin' day.

Okay, yes JQ. I count myself amongst the blessed. I get to see the sun come up as the truck warms and I enjoy some tobacco before work.

Thanks for the posative affirmation.

I'm out for the day. Thanks, love and hugs to all.

LOL!! I go to sleep & then to bed and you all get so very warm and fuzzy and find beverages and bickies all over the place...

Yeah - I agree Nico - it's a shame about the biscuits... andy do you all know why the beer is called XXXX? It's made in Queensland and Queenslanders find it difficult to spell beer...

*Magda ducks and peers around to see if any Queenslanders lurk at this site...*

...hang on - if there are Queenslanders lurking - you all need to be posting!!!

SBDB - I 2nd MsG - I worked in a fish restaurant for a few weeks once... the smell permeated everything... lemon was what my Mum put me on to! I love lemons - I use them in cooking, drinking and cleaning... and a couple of drops of lavendar oil in my load of washing is also a terrific way of killing bacteria and keeping things smelling fresh!

I can only echo the others NVG it just hurts that extra bit when you are prepared to make sacrifices for someone - sort of pay them that respect and place them in a position of 'worthiness', only to find that your sacrifice was not appreciated or worthwhile... You are warm and fuzzy Darling! We know, coz we're your family too!!

JQ - do you ever sleep? Here you are and I've had a night's sleep and I've been to work this morning... OK, it was a very short day but...

MsG!! I love stationery too!! My first ever job was in a shop that sold all kinds of paper and pens... the smell alone gave me goosebumps and I go giddy when I enter a 'Officeworks' store these days... it's dangerous for me to go in there... I always spend money I shouldn't

And the one piece of technology I absolutely couldn't live without? Either my mobile phone - because I move around all the time and I work in a private home so I can't really rely on a constant phone number without it! ...or the internet - though I do have to live without it from time to time!

Do we have a new ponderance? If not, I have one:

Is daylight savings time really worth it?

There has been some research that daylight savings time slightly decreases the crime rate and makes kids safer on their way home from school, etc.

Am I alone in just wanting the entire year tweeked by half an hour and not bothering with DST? Seriously, the only thing it means is that it's dark when I get up, it's dark when I go to sleep, and with the usual dreary weather we get here during the unpleasant months, dark the rest of the day as well.

As an aside, seasonal affective disorder sucks.

Bah. Where's a grumpy hermit smilie when I need one?

I've been living with DST my whole life. I think there were maybe two years that I was DST-free, but that was so long ago I can't remember. It's really weird because every spring and every fall I, like, feel the need to wake up an hour earlier or an hour later, and my body is, like, all oh, this is so wrong, but I do it anyway 'cause if I don't I'm, like really early or really late all the time. I've asked my doctor about it, you know, if there's anything I can do about it, but she says it's up to Congress to pass a law. I thought it would be the FDA, but I don't know. I just so confused...

Morning, all!
Shiny new logo and everything! Thank you, PR for making it! I still like the first one better.
Nico, thank you for carrying on the thread...one of these days, I'll get back on the ball.

Although...the thinker with the thought bubble is kinda shiny, too...hmm...decisions, decisions....

Penguin! While we are glad you are working, we miss you, too! I hope things have been going well for you?

JQ...I think you're on to something with the separated at birth thing...wow!

MSG, I could absolutely not live without my computer. I have been using one for one thing or another since the days of the VIC 20 and TRS80...without a keyboard, I am a doomed man!
Well, that and the electric sewing machine...although in a pinch, I supposed I could use one of the foot-powered ones.

NVG! I give to thee a big, manly hug and a huge mug of coffee.

SBDB, howdy! You have been missed! Congrats on the new job...and some guys see smelling like food as a bonus, so keep that in mind.

Neko, glad to hear you were able to secure some of the better binders. Those are the important things in life, seriously. Without binders, there is no place to keep all your papers...and stuff...they're...ok, I have no idea where I am going with this...

MSG, to answer your query and add to the confusion...410, 476, somewhere in the mid 600's...(1453 if you really want to count that one)and finally, August 6, 1806. But those could all be wrong.
I loved that one, thank you!

NVG, thank you for the reminder of sunrises in the West...I really do miss those. *sigh*

Magda, Queenslanders...XXXXX....can't spell beer.... So y'all go at each other, too! Good to see that!
How are you today, qing ren?

Nico, I have to agree with PR on the Daylight Savings thing...may be cool, but it's still a pain in the ass.

Ok, more coffee....I shall return.

Good morning...or night...to all the lovely imponderers.

Have to say I love, love, love DST. The ony thing that makes 'spring forward' acceptable is the extra hour of sunlight and knowing that in a few short weeks it will be light out until 8:45 or so. (I really loved it when I was in Seattle and it was light until after 10pm. That was awesome...although it did mess with my internal "I'm hungry" clock). There is nothing like hanging out with friends on a warm summer evening.

And I can handle "fall back" because I get to sleep another hour. Actually, it will be nice because it will be lighter when I get up. It's pitch black right now and the sun is just starting to rise when I leave for work. Next week it will just be rising as I get up.

Grrr...dealing with some online dating annoyance. Some guy uses loser line pretending he thinks I'm someone else. I politely say that I'm not "Michelle." He uses that as an opening and writes a decent length e-mail to which I reply "Thanks, but I don't think we're a good match. Good luck in your search!" He e-mails back saying, "I really didn't think we were a good match either, but I was bored at work one day. Besides, I usually date strong successful ladies." Like he knows anything about me or whether I'm strong or successful. Grrrr....lameass. I replied...but I wasn't nice about it this time.

Speaking of losers: Guy e-mailed back again. Said "Lets see believe it or not I date better looking ladies than you and they have alot more money than you. Sorry I stooped so low as to write a secretary."

What an asshat. I didn't pull many punches this time. I couldn't care less if he thinks I'm as ugly as a old lady's wrinkle ass. He's an unattractive man who leads with his money. Hate to say it, but guys, if you lead with money it pretty much means you're either unattractive, have no personality, are totally insecure in who you are or a combination. But sadly, many women still go for money and perpetuate the problem. Why do we do that? Imponder that.

There is, but let's just say he could report me, too. I was all kinds of nice at first. Then a little less nice. Then not nice at all. I actually think it's kind of funny. He thinks he's being insulting when the reality of the situation is I tried to politely turn him away.

See, here's the thing. I'm happy with my life. I will only date someone if I think it will improve things, so I have HUGE amounts of freedom. I don't place my value in what some man might think of me. I don't care if someone thinks I'm ugly or boring or an ogre or a loner or etc. Whatever. It's no skin off my teeth. I can continue my life the way it is and be fulfilled. If I happen to meet someone that makes me happy, and that I can make happy, then jolly good for both of us. If not, I am still happy.

HUGS Rugbug...well at least you don't have to worry about him procreating. Obviously his equiptment is s miniscule that he would be unable to complete the process...frankly I think we should all pity a man so deficient in social ability, charm, intelligence, and any other worthwhile characteristic that he feels the need to flash his only potentially interesting quality( his money)and even that isn't enough to make up for his pathetic , assinine behavior. Also,I note he is interested in only women with money. This indicates he actually has none himself and is looking to sponge. So basically, he's not worth even a glancing moment of your time unless you need a massive laugh thinking about this wreck of (well lets be kind and say humanity)and his painfully pathetic grasping attempt to latch on to some dumb, insecure woman who will finance his life because he's too pitiful to take care of himself. I'm sure he will die a much deserved death in the gutter he so richly deserves:)

Yeah sadly my kind button is broken and as a teacher I can deliver one really impressive verbal smack down. Of course when teaching that is always followed with a discussion of how you know that student can do better and how you're only disappointed because you know how wonderful they are and then a discussion of what you can do to help them do better...but for the jackass..let's just skip right to the flamethrower:)

I feel compelled to add that my students ( who know how much I love Happy Bunny) have bought me a little sign for my room that says " Thank you for not making me kill you" and one for my keyboard that says " I'm not mean. You're just a sissy"

So here it is folks. The final verdict. Called and left my final message to the less than worthy Ms. Easily Replaced. Found out that she's spent the week in Reno with the douchebag. Left Monday following our get together. I am in complete disbelief of the whole thing, but I can overcome. Imagine the audacity of a person to toy with someone in such a manner. Rather than get mad and seek vengance for something that wasn't mine in the first place, I'm lettin' it go.

So, what was the message you may ask.

"I hope your day is going well. I haven't heard from you and frankly I don't wish to. For whatever reason I am getting the bad end of the stick without any explaination and have done nothing to wrong you. I would appreciate it very much if I were a mere strangers in whatever further dealings we may have. Thanks for making me feel like total crap."

So thats it. If anyone hears of her again on the board hopefully it is of me telling her to piss off in person.

I'm gone to lunch.

NV- First of all...(((hug)))

Second, can't say I'm too surprised by anything that assclown of a woman does.

Rude behavior? Check.
Full of Herself? Check.
Skank-o-matic? Check.

After all of this ( and more ) would you really want her? Would you really trust her?

NV back to his old self? Check.

Way to go man. Sounds like she fully deserves it. I really will never understand a person who enjoys playing games with other people's hearts. Forget them. They aren't worth the effort.

Very nice, NV. You don't need her and will be MUCH better off without the possibility of her being dangled in front of you whenever she needs an ego boost...or to make her douchebag jealous.

Look at the imponderables being shiny with the words today. Go us!
