I have dibs. Kelkhil's still trying to price the gorram things. It's all up in the air now because both sides have signed so he stands to make a WAY huger profit. But will still have the fact the MsG is still on the disabled list, so the price is still reachable.

Hooray for our side!! Recover well, mei mei.
But I got a question for you. How does that mouth of a sailor talk go down in good ol' Utah? I mean don't people like avert their eyes and plug their ears when you walk by?

I try and for the most part succeed at not swearing in school ( few notable exceptions) but Utah's only about 60% mormon and generally I am with like minded people so it's not a problem. I have shocked many a new person who assumes I am all sweet and nice 'cause I am a teacher and then they hear me talk...

Aww. You know how we are out here in the Non-Utah world. Everybody who lives there is either a Mormon or a lapsed Mormon. It's just that kind of all or nothing generalizing that gets my guts worked up into a knot. And I'm guilty of it, and so it has to be okay...

LOL- I should tell you a story of one of my lapses. To this day I still have no idea how it happened. It was the second to last week of school and one of my students, Jason, left class without permission. I wasn't mad or even slightly upset. Just calmly went into the hall and to find him. He was on his way back when I nabbed him and he started in on this lame excuse. For no explicable reason I said " nice "f-ing" try ( only I said the whole word) the kids eyes got huge and he stared at me for a sec and then I said " I didn't say that...and you're not truant. So let's just go back in the room ok" He laughed and from that day on every time he sees me ( even at his graduation) he mouths " nice f-ing try" ...love that kid:)

I choose to rise instead of fall- U2

Hi Jack!! I would have said 'hi' sooner but just got home from work... and I have to admit that I... OK... I did kind of ignore your ponderance coz... ummm... I didn't have a clue what it was... ...sorry!

But 'tis good to see you and 'Hi!!' How's my 'really, really, rediculously goodlooking friened? Still working on 'Magnum'?

Ah... ShinyKitten!! Hello - it is such a gorgeous Tuesday isn't it? Are you up for a... ah... 'air trip' next August? I intend to go to Dragon*Con so I'm encouraging everyone I can to come along too! We've got to get the Imponderers together 'in the flesh'!!

NVG - I can only add my love & hugs and tell you that you are worth so much better than she is remotely capable of giving! 2nd everything MsG said - we're going into business together - [advertisment]"B'Bappers! Bitch or Bastard got you down? - call B'Bappers!! - we bap because we care!!"[/advertisment] ...seriously though, I cannot get over the moronic stupidity of her - she makes low-life folk look shiny! She makes my blood boil and my skin crawl!!! I will be there with any weapon you want to name in order to do things to her she will not forget in a hurry... nor will any other fool who thinks they can mess with one of my friends!!!

Tristan - thank you my sweet - but see? I told you that dates can be dangerous... if you take note of the above they can lead to all sorts of females-bearing-weapons-and-performing-semi-violent-acts-upon-those-who-hurt-their-friends... hang on!??? I'm not helping... am I?

MsG!!!es & hugs my gorgeous Li'l Sis!! NOt only would I be there to help with your darlings if I could - I would make my baby sister hot chicken soup and take on the school authorities for you! Since I can't, will you still meet me at Dragon*Con?

I'll be about for a while - hope some of you are up soon... Magda x x x

Hey Magdalena. Magnum is still going strong. Still working on that whole "left-turn" thing... ya know how it is.

Don't sweat not answering my imponderable. Nobody else did or even said hi. I was just wondering since the thread says that "handclaps are the new black" I was just wondering what the old black was. So apparently I confused everyone, or I confused you and everyone else thinks I was dumb for posting that, or I confused you and some other people while the other people just thought that I was dumb for posting that, or maybe everybody, even you thought that I was dumb for posting that... but I don't think that last one is it because you seem real nice and I don't think you'd lie to me about something so trivial.

Got that? Good. I'll be in my bunk.

BTW... nice logo PR.

PR: I think we may now have a pic to post at the start of each new thread.

6ixString: The oldest (thus original) black is of course, black. Saying that something is "the new black" is a phrase used to denote that something is currently popular, possibly having it's roots in the fashion industry, but I'm not sure. The title of this thread is (like all that came before it) a song title, in this case, taken from a local group called Hello Minnesota, refering to the fact that using handclaps in songs (often when running out of ideas partway through) is/was in vogue.

(Thx to Desktop Hippie for the banner)
If you find yourself getting too worked up about stuff that isn't real (RP Threads etc), then go outside, breathe in some fresh air and try feeding the ducks. Sorry I missed your question Jack (don't worry, folk even miss mine sometimes ) As Nico said, something being the 'new black' means it's popular or stylish, since black is always stylish.

I think this is awesome.

Sorry, Jack, I didn't realize the inponderable was serious. Thought you were being ironical or somesuch. My bad. Couldn't say how long ago it was but some fashion maven came up with the phrase. As PR pointed out Black was always considered fashionable (because being neutral, it goes with anything). In an attempt to inspire--oh hell, whatever it is that fashion designers hope to inspire--Brown became the new Black. Then Pink was the new Black. Or vice-versa. Once it made it into the mainstream media as a catch phrase, it mutated as such things always do to incorporate non-fashion items and even concepts, e.g. "Intelligent Design" became the new black for Fundamentalists to latch onto.

As for the Hi's we've missed, I frequently don't even get to the people here that I know well, so please don't take personally.

*crawls back under favorite rock and seriously begins self examination to determine how he knows so much about the new black. Decides the Black from Firefly is only one to be concerned about...*

NV, I gotta say it. Don't go looking for closure with Ms. Irredeemable. Just let her go. She's like a bad infection that you keep trying to clean out and let heal when what you really need to do is cut the darn thing off. Empower yourself! You don't need her. You don't need to tell her to piss of or whatever. You can find closure in yourself. Just acknowledge that she isn't worth it and you're better off without her and move on. Forget about her...or pretend to forget about her until you really do. That's closure.

Therein lies the problem. I WAS on the edge of forgetting her and she just calls and suggests we do something out of the blue. I am definately acknowledging she is playing some half assed game with someone who genuinely cares. That is the worst kinda game to play with someone. I ain't much of the vengeful sort anymore. Er...Afternoon, all!
Sorry I missed the morning rush...we are dealing with missing people and visiting company reps today at work. Really cuts into my posting time...

Jack, everyone in here gets ignored every now and then. Sometimes a subject gets completely overlooked...happens to me a great deal.
See, I have been wondering about the old black myself...seems it was pink, orange, blue...wait, that was a movie....

Magda, I love the B'Bappers idea! Count me in if you need a getaway driver.

Oh, another thing Magda, the date actually wants to go to a shooting range someday...she says it has been about 12 years since she shot a gun, and she misses it. How about that for a date?

That logo may be a good idea...make the thread beginnings a bit more classy. Is there a slightly smaller version of it, PR (The first one you posted..the interlocked symbols)?

RugBug, thank you! Josie and the Pussycats...that's where I got the pink and orange from.... I agree; very funny movie!

NVG...yes, The Devil sounds about right. Seriously, let the ladies in here loose.

...gorramn it, lunch is already over...
I hope to be able to post more!

TRISTAN

It is an honor to be on your list, NVG!
And it's wonderful how great this really is! She and I got to talking about all sorts of stuff...she knows I have weapons, but I was afraid she would freak if she knew the true number (arsenal quantities...I'm a collector). Turns out she loves guns, but has not had the chance to shoot since she was about 12. My fear is that she will out-shoot me, though!
She loves all sorts of food...the statement was something along the lines of "If it does not try to eat me first, it's dinner!" So, lots of our dates will involve some sort of food.

I've had that happen. Dang womenfolk and their small muscle control. Such a mixed blessing.

Amen on the food. Its so hard to find a woman that likes food as much as me. Must be a relief.

Yep, especially when they laugh so attractively after pegging the bullseye six times in a row and saw, "I've never fired one of those before!".
As to the food, yes, it is nice. I don't really have to worry about where to go anymore!

Thats all thats needed. Someone who don't care too much where to go as long as you go together, but still has great ideas and suggestions of what to do. I just wonder what she does that y'all will be doing together.

6ixString: Sorry if you felt snubbed. Don't take it personally a lot gets missed when reading through all of the posts.

NVG: Waste no more thought or time on that foul creature. Leave her to your Browncoat friends.

MSG: I hope that you are resting up and feeling better today.

PR: Nice logos!

To everyone else, hello and I hope your day is going well.

"Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle." http://whimsicalnbrainpan.blogspot.com/

NVG, whatever she wants to do is fine by me! And you are right...the place does not so much matter as the person you are with (I was going to say companion, but I know where y'all would have gone with that! )

Afternoon, Whim!

Howdy Whims. Alot does get lost occasionally here. There is so much pondering that, I know for me, If I don't get it out it gets lost and all jumbled. Stupid brain never worked right. Some association with PTSD and the lost connection of brain synapse or some such.

And yes Tristan. We woulda ran whole heartedly with the "companion" thingy you stopped yourself from saying. All outta love (and the need for entertainment).

Geesh..you folks are faster than "fast like a freak" -- I read the postings, go out to the mainpage, reload it, and *BAM* there's more... ["Cray-z," she says, shaking her head and grinning.]

MsG...hope you're feeling better (102? with a cough and it sneaking into your lungs? Are they crazy, asking for a grievance, or maybe someone to sue them? ) *hugs* I guess I should count my blessings that the system here has an automated call-in site that allows us to request a substitute.

6stringjack: Sorry, things tend to get lost here...(usually questions that I ask, so don't feel to bad...) Sometimes the questions seem rhetorical, or there are "bigger" issues on our minds *sharpens the edge of a couple of old, generally rusty, sickles, and grins evilly at the thought of dealin' with Ms. Inexcuseable* or it just gets skipped over. My two plat: don't worry about it.
As for the forgetting to say "hi" -- Sorry...I'm the type that sometimes forgets to say/type that even though I recognize/notice someone's here. My bad.

NVG...magda, PR, and I have a few items we'd like to test out...do you mind pointing us in the direction of this Ms. Inexcuseable ? I'm pretty sure that once we've had a "discusion" (and MsG there too with her bappin' hand) with her, the "twitch" will soon be at your door, apologizing and explaining. That is *cough* after she stops twitching .

Tristan -- okay, I knew about the blades, but not about the firearms. ...and your "new" date is interested in going shooting with you? Cool.

I've gotta comment on the whole logo thing later, when I'm at home...work machine won't let me see anything on photobucket.

*waves at Rugbug and anyone else that has escaped 'neko's lil' brain*

NVG, I am sorry to have deprived the thread of the entertainment...but I am trying to introduce her to the 'Verse...and it would not do to have her labeled a Companion just yet...although she does have the dark hair and green eyes that would be perfect in some of those outfits Inara wore...
hmm...

Neko! Fast like freaks we are, we are! That's what makes us so much fun, right?
And yes, firearms are a deep interest of mine. I thought for sure that had been covered before...sorry! And yes, she does want to shoot!
