There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Sci Fi Channel in the U.S., barring any schedule changes between now and then, will once again run a Firefly marathon on Tuesday, December 12, beginning at 8:00AM and running for eight hours. They do not have the information available yet about which episodes will be included, but the previous time they aired the show it was "Serenity" through "War Stories" so maybe they will begin with "Trashed."

This makes me all warm and fuzzy, and this is just in time for the holidays.

We all know what Universal wants before they make a call to Joss Whedon, they want more money. This holiday I will buy two more copies of the BDM, along with the soundtracks and any other Licensed Merchandise I can find. It times to push the signal farther than ever before. One more really big push may be what it takes to push Serenity into the Black and the relm of a possible sequel.

Yeah, I know. :) It's an alternate version of something I found at textfiles.com a long time ago. (The original describes a single computer and "das blinkenlights.") It reminded me too much of those background signs and things in the MAD magazine comics for me to pass it up. :)

On the NBC/Universal/Sci-Fi connection and Serenity/Firefly... Might the current restructuring and layoffs in the studios affect the chances of further 'verse developments?

Dunno. Perhaps someone like WhoisRiver ( Gossi) or Simon could come along and tell us? They seem to know more about the way the inner workings of the studios and such work.

I do know that it's great that the SciFi channel is using Firefly again in their marathon rotations. Another chance for someone just like me to fall in love with our shiny 'Verse! Each time they run the show we get folks here and on the other boards who come on and say... the time honored thing we all love to see them say..."why is this not on tv right now so I can watch it!"

Adding to this discussion:
The SciFi Boards have been updated with a new look and it'd be pretty shiny for all of us to be a part of an active Firefly board over there. Since Universal is affiliated with SciFi... it won't hurt for them to see a large and active Browncoat community over there. It's been suggested on another thread and I for one ( I'm already registered over there) am taking it to heart.

Denglish! Is that like Spanglish, only more closely related linguistically?
Ich habe ein kleine Deutsch, aber ich spreche nicht zehr gut.
It actually made me stop a moment and say "was that really German?" It looked like there might be modern slang in it or something.
Oh wait, we were talking about the next BDMarathon..
Maybe I'll have a TV or cable by then! Yay!

True.

And even I Denmark I can't affect ratings, since it's only a selected number households that has a box that registres what they view. So I had a box... I would count for about 25 households.... gorram it...

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I would suggest that every browncoat that is able watch Firefly on Sci Fi when they run it in December. Even if you are not in or able to watch it Tivo or tape it. If you are a browncoat w/ a Nielsen box definitely watch it. It certainly can not hurt to drive Sci Fi's ratings up during their airing the series.

The holidays are coming so keep the Firefly & Serenity dvds in mind for gifts. If you don't have one or both, be sure to put them on your wish list.

September '07 is the expiration date of the cast contracts w/ Universal. We need to push hard to make 'Versal see we want our Big Damn Sequel.

Sci Fi Channel has finally updated their schedule pages to include the episodes that will run during the December 12 marathon. As previously noted, the last time they ran it in September it was "Serenity" through "War Stories." This time they are not only backtracking a bit, they are also skipping some in the order, but will at least be running the concluding episodes, so anyone who has only seen the show from the September marathon can get the rest of the series next month. NOTE: the times listed here are U.S. Eastern Standard Time, for December 12, 2006.

8am- The Train Job
9am- Bushwhacked
10am - Shindig
11am - War Stories
12pm - Trash
1pm - The Message
2pm - Heart of Gold
3pm - Objects in Space
