An even quarter of a century. But that changes in April. I hate being round number ages. It's so....boring.

I'm just 16. started watchin the show when my 11 year old brother goes, "hey man, there's this live-action show on fox that's like cowboy bebop!!" After that moment, Firefly has been the new hot topic. So, guess the lowest age so far is 11.

I'm 26. Browncoat husband is 28.

I have converted friends aged like so: 23, 24, 25, 26, 30, 33.

That we have fans that have almost practically a lifetime of space between them--11 to 70-- that's remarkable. In case you needed another reason to know you were special.

i DO aim to misbehave

chronologically, 36, which apparently puts me in the middle of the road, browncoat wise.

Mentally, about 28-30. I didn't grow up before age 35, so I figure I can be whatever age I want.

Physically, somewhere around 80 although I'm hiding the white hair that started when I was 17 and the arthritis has been behaving itself lately.

I'll be 30 in 3 weeks time, and most of my friends who are also Browncoats are in the 20-50 range. Tho the kids of one lady in her late 50s whom I hooked on the show are in their teens! So it seems to be pan-generational :)

39 here.

We've talked about this before, but we're hitting on one of the truly unusual things about this show and it's both a blessing and a curse.

Of course its great that it brings together people of so many ages, and that speaks volumes about the universal appeal of the characters and their stories, but that vast age spread had made it very difficult for narrow-minded studio types to promote. I still think one of the biggest mistakes fox made with the show was trying to aim it so squarely at a youth market. Membership on this board (and I think the demographics at the official site are similar) clearly indicates this isn't a show that teenagers were drawn to any more than other age groups.

Anyway, that was then... I hope the promotion of the new movie will learn from the previous errors and promote Firefly to all ages.

BTW, Maniac, did the math twice. Are you telling us you're only six months old?

I'm 38 with a hubby that's about to turn 40. Our kids know about it and my five year old watches tv by running in and out or about the room but can tell you the entire plot, so I guess he watches it too. He does that with Lord of the Rings too, it is truly bizzare.

SHEWHOHATHAPEN

I'm 19 and my brother's 28 we've been Browncoats since the beginning. And I sneakily converted my mother (53) before she knew what was happening.

She's a psychiatric nurse with six brothers and sisters so I purposely showed her all the Simon and River-centric episodes first, knowing that the great sibling relationship and insane River would snag her.

At one point I thought there might be some sort of moral quandry there with being manipulative but then I thought about that fact that she now loves Simon and River and there's another Browncoat to add to our legions.

I decided it all balanced out.
