All I can say is that it was pretty awesome and thanks to all who came!

Here's a pic of Wulf and Sarge playing Frisbee in Maniac's backyard.

Meanwhile, Maniac showed off some Yoga moves.

Everyone had a great time thinking about Firefly.

The air smelled very good.

Kaythryn and HFK danced the night away.

Then, Sarge started talking about America, it was cool.

Then, Melee showed up and Mr. Fluff too!

We all sang the Jaynestown theme together!

Let's do it again next year!

Kaythryn has personally asked me to clarify if this is a joke or not. A lot of people seem to think this is a joke but I assure you, these are real photos of people.

You are right about one thing Succatash, those are definitely pictures of real people.

Select to view spoiler:

Not any people I know, but real people nonetheless. I wish I had hair as long as that hippie you portrayed as me. I know we could play this off and pretend like we had a real shindig with all those people, but some of those people whom you said came to the shindig have already started to question you. So I am gonna bow out gracefully. I think we should come clean and just tell everybody that when we have a shindig, it's usually just you and me laughing our asses off and drinking too much. Whadda ya think? Should we come clean or not?

..G (strum).................G (strum)
Jayne! The man they call Jayne!

G..............................Em
He robbed from the rich and he gave to the poor
..G.........................Em
Stood up to the man and he gave him what for
......C.....................D
Our love for him now ain't hard to explain
.....G
The hero of Canton, the man they call Jayne!

.....Em...........D..............Em
Our Jayne saw the mudders' backs breaking.
....C.......D........Em
He saw the mudders lament.
................D..........Em
And he saw the magistrate taking
.......C..........D............Em
Every dollar and leaving five cents.
.............C........................Em
So he said, "You can't do that to my people!"
...........C...............................Em
He said, "You can't crush them under your heal!"
......................Am..........Em
Jayne strapped on his hat and in eight seconds
Am
flat
....Em....................D..............Em
He stole everything Paul Higgins had to steal!

REPEAT CHORUS

.....Em...........D.........Em
Now here is what seperates heroes
......C............D.........Em
From common folk like you and I,
....................D.........Em
The man they call Jayne, he turned 'round his

plane,
........C........D............Em
And he let that money hit the sky!
.....C.....................Em
He dropped it next to our fountain.
.....C...............Em
He dropped into our hearts.
....Am.............Em.........Am.............Em
He talk talk talk talk, talk talk talk talk talk
..........D...........Em
And head out for the stars!

REPEAT CHORUS

That's pretty much it. If anyone can tell me what the balladeer is singing while the members of the peanut gallery are talking amongst themselves, it would be much appreciated.

ALSO--I'm not too sure about that A minor. If someone has a better chord, please post.

ALSO--Feel free to convert it to any key you wish. I have an easier time singing in G.

AlSO--Sorry about all the periods, for some inexplicable reason all the chords bunched up over the first word in the line instead of staying where they should have been.

ALSO--Tash, Sorry about 'jacking your thread.

ALSO--Naw, I guess that's it.

Yay! I've been looking for chords for quite some time. I'll have to try them in the morning. It's too late now because everyone else in the house is sleeping.

Tash, you are hi-larious

P.S. do those chords look right to you? The more ears working on a piece, the better, I say. I think they're right, they sound 90%. With this cold though, I sing like a mating walrus, so who knows. Actually, I sing like a mating walrus even when I'm feeling well

Well, I think the actual song is in a different key, but I think you may have mentioned that. Also, I think the last line of the chorus is like G....Em....G or something. If the Am is not an Am it may be a G, judging by the structure. I could be wrong here, but are you sure the third line to the verse isn't C...D...Em instead of just D...Em?

But anyway, it's good. thanks.

I'll have to try it out to be able to say for sure. Try the key of C. That's a good folk song/"c"ountry music chord. It also helps to listen to the .wav as you're figuring. I'll get back to ya'

I've got a D, B minor, F something, G, A thing going on that seems to work.

You know, when we get it nailed down 100%, and everyone agrees on it, we're going to have to find a better home for the song than buried on an unrelated thread

O.k. I think I have it. Be warned: It's slightly different from what I originally posted.

intro
G........G
Jayne, Jayne

chorus
G....Em
He, gave
G....Em
Up, gave
C......D
Love, hard
G.......Em........G
He(ro), Can(ton), man

verse 1
Em...D..........Em
Now, mud(der), break(ing)
Am....D..............Em
Saw, mud(ders), (la)ment
D.............Em
mag(istrate), tak(ing)
Am.........D..........Em
dol(ler), leav(ing), cents
Am....Em.......Am....B7
you, peop(le), you, heal
Em..........Am....Em.....Am
Strap(ped), hat, eight, flat
Em............D..........Em
Ev(rything), Hig(gins), steal

I hope that's not too confusing. Again, I only chose Em, Am, D, G, etc. because that is what I am comfortable singing with. And, SValley, you said that the third line of the verse may be C,D,Em, instead of just D, Em. In actuality, I think it is Em,D,Em, but I just wrote D,EM because the first Em, carries over from the second line. That way, the third line is structured to match the first line. And, you were right about the first line in the chorus having an Em in it. Good catch! Does any of this make sense? I can't tell. I'm to tired. :sleepy: (Just imagine there's a sleepy looking smiley face there.)

Well, let it not be said you don't have a healthy fantasy life anyway.

Does your family know you're plagerizing their reunion photos for semi-humorous purposes?
