Howdy fellow Browncoats, I just wanted to ask ya for some help. I'm havin' a really crappy week: first I leave college for a semester cause I was lonely and had no friends and now that I'm back home my two best friends are pissed at me for some reason and won't even talk about why they're mad at me. I'm just feelin kinda blue and could use a good ol' Browncoat pat on the back. Thanks.

Keep flyin'.

Please don't let college get you down. Take a semester and get some perspective. I went through the same thing and I promise it WILL get better.

As for your friends, hopefully they'll cool off and tell you what's wrong. True friends forgive most things.

ooohh. poor Serenityseeker...don't worry, you have lots of Browncoats around to support you.

i find that stuff always happens for a reason, even if we can't see it or understand it at the time. so, you just gotta trust that this is your path and this is what you're supposed to be doing. it will all work out. and in the mean time you have all of us shiny Browncoats around to cheer you up!

SO- if your friends are really your friends they'll get over whatever it is and i bet the break from studying will bring new and exciting things to your life.

also, if this doesn't work, i suggest many alcoholic drinks, all in the same glass, at once.
apply this cure until you feel better, or can't remember why you were sad, (or even who you are), or until someone offers better advice!

GRRR.....ARGGHH

You came to the right place. Life is overwhelming at times. Take a break.

Taking a semester off is a good start. Now to help change your mood. Watch a couple of favorite Firefly episodes or check out the "Shiny Caption" treads. It should help to bring a smile to your face.

We've all had problems with friends. Don't bang your head on the wall about it. Give it a day or two.

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I don't know you that well, but I just hate to see a fellow Browncoat unhappy!
Here's to your friends coming around soon.

Hello SS...

So sorry to hear your life's on a low at the moment... I've had quite a bit fo that recently and I know just what an amazing and supportive community this is...

Do what your heart tells you - it sounds like you have a good grasp on that in taking a semester off.

Your friends might have issues with one another - try talking to them one at a time...? If this fails find your 2nd best or 3rd best or just someone you feel you can talk with - it's amazing how adversity brings people together and helps them to see the other side.

Hugs to you - and hope things are looking up really soon!

Now I am learning about scary.

*pat on the back and hug to Serenityseeker*

I'm sorry things are so muddled right now. I hope your friends will come around and tell you what's up so you can all work it out.

College is scary and lonely at first. If you decide to go back (and I hope you will), see if you can find at least one activity outside of classes that you think you'll enjoy so you can meet some people who share at least one interest with you. That will make it easier to make friends there, too.

Meanwhile, you always have friends here!

Best of luck to you.

Hiya, SerenitySeeker.

Here's some more hugs for ya. Hopefully your friends will talk over whatever the issue is with you and get it ironed out soon.

The idea posted above about checking into some other activities when ya go back to college is a good idea. You may want to even try to see if ya can find other browncoats there and have some shindigs.

More hugs!
