Thank you, MSG...I had forgotten to create a new thread this morning.
All went well. It will be a quick and painless divorce as there is no common property, no children, etc. Kinda like the last one, actually.

Ok, happier subject time...what's on the agenda?

Anything I'd not normally eat. Cheated a bit yesterday. Cooked bugers and onion rings for PsychoBilly and myself. Can't remember the last time I cooked a burger. It was great!

I get to wondering how I made it this far. Let alone with minimal physical scars. Hell, I still have a pretty nose (only broke once). I guess that I'm counting myself amongst the blessed. I also wonder what I will be asking once I look back. Twenty years? Thirty? Tomorrow?

PAGANPAUL

OK, this is my first post to the M&FI thread, and I'm going through a bit of a tough time myself when it comes to this whole M&F crap. One of the things Tina was atracted to when we first met was that I had an air of calmness around me - a calm energy that people could actually feel. Now that's gone. She literally has damaged my calm.

Tonight I will try something a bit different - a spell I've created to try to get past this. It starts with a blossom and progresses through leaf, bark, wood and root in a symbolic attempt to get back to my own roots; to regain what I had before all this happened.

I shall share it now with my FireFly friends...

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

With Goddess and God I recite this spell
To move me out of my mental hell
By fire and water, by air and earth
I call to you now to aid my rebirth.

Into the fire I place this blossom
Help me now to fill up this chasm
I wish to leave this self-made tomb
So now I’ll burn another bloom.

Next I set ablaze this leaf
Help me now to restore my belief
As I burn this bit of foliage
My life again I begin to manage.

Now I offer up this piece of bark
To move my soul out of the dark
To the tree it acts as an armor
Restore me now to when I was calmer.

I move on now to offer the trunk
To move me on from out of this funk
Through the wood moves the life of the tree
Restore my calm once more to me.

At last we come down to the root
Help me reconcile every dispute
Heedless of all my pain and strife
Stillness and calm restore to my life.

My soul again mine, no more to wander
In pain and grief I will dwell no longer
In stillness the roots dwell under the ground
My soul be restored; my calmness re-found.

So mote it be!

* - * - * - * - * - * - WE ARE FORSAKEN, AND WE AIM TO BURN! - * - * - * - * - * - * - *

* - * - * - * - Watch this space! New signature animation coming soon! - * - * - * - *

Kicked myself in the nose. Wierd you say. Well, my belay hand got hung up and didn't lock the rope quick enough. Foot hooked on a brick and my boot heel whacked me in the honker.

Tristan, I got some antelope backstrap and deer steaks from my aunt the other day. Any number of meals will befall the wild meat. MMMMM!

So Mr.Pagan Paul, what's been the problem? I kinda miss things from here to there.

Hi Guys! What's up with my posse? I've been feeling too poorly to log on for the last couple of days and have really missed you all. Sound like a couple of people here are not in a good place right now. I'm so sorry to hear that (especially Tristan - I really wanted to hug the screen when I read your news. As if that would actually help at all!).

First day of school? Wow. I can't imagine that just yet. PsycoBilly and BabyV. Figure i'd give them names rather than thing one and thing two. They are doing great. Everyone's been taking revolving duties with them. I got to spend the whole day with PsychoBilly yesterday. We picked up hay, cooked junk food, went shopping, and watched Star Wars (Tryin' not to overload him on the Firefly). He did sit all the way through Serenity the other day and LOVED it.

WHITEFALL

Well I see not a ton has changed...

PaganPaul, welcome to our little corner of the site!

Anyhoos, Tristan, I still can't think of anything to say, because, to be honest i'm still working on that 'loved and lost thing'. Gotta do step one to get to step two. Just... um... adopt, adapt and improve! And keep in mind, although you may have made a slightly ill-fated french-related descision once, the way you tell it, Warrior Woman was not someone to regret, and you are a better person for knowing her. While most of us can tell you there's nothing wrong with being single, just remember that you're still a mighty family man if you want to be.

(I don't know where that came from exactly. I think I just addressed an issue you didnt even mention. I'm just that clever.)

Anyhoos, from tomorrow until the end of next week, every day but the weekends i'll be doing Hell Week (TM), so i'll be posting a maximum of once a day, basically. Good luck with the pondering, i'll check back nightly.

Oh well, tis a good show, and actually, I might even get someone from here to see it. If anyone saw one of the last dating threads, me and MalaynaDreams ended up discovering that I live about 3 miles from her university n stuff. To hell with dating though, i'm just interested in meeting a fan i didnt convert myself. I'm crossing my fingers she remembers and comes to the show.

Ah Hell Week (TM), how I love thee, in all ways except thy homework-giving ways.

Till tommorow night all, love you folks.

"But, these strong women characters?"

Ever tried wrapping asparagus spears in parma ham, then baking them in cream and parmesan?

And onion rings - do you soak yours in buttermilk first?

On BBQ - I have a good chili jam recipe if anyone wants it.

Venison casserole, with chestnuts and a parsnip mash...

I think I need to get back to the recipe thread and bump that sucker.

Tristan, I'm sorry I haven't made sympathetic noises yet - just catching up on the boards. For the record, if I didn't have my husband, you are just the kind of guy I would be ranting about living on the other side of the pond...this doesn't help, I know, but zen hugs and best wishes.

"No power in the 'verse can stop me!"

Hello Imponderers!

Hi Whitefall - sounds like you're up to your ears in homework... for you to get you through the week - you are so right about 'a problem shared is a problem halved!' it helps to just verbalise it (or write about it).

Hey NVG - PsychoBilly & BabyV are terrific posting names!! It sounds like you and PB had heaps of fun yesterday - he is one lucky boy! I've said it before and I'll say it again - they are so lucky to have you in their life!

MisterG - bacon & blue cheese burgers????? I think that might be the most illicit and delicious thing any man has ever said to me on this forum... does MsG mind that you get us all drooly like this...?

MsG - he's lucky to have you cooking for him - I too have read some of your recipes and I'll join Tristan in coming to your place for dinner any night!!

Tristan - still sending hugging vibes and all! Should I send Trukish Delight too...?

Pagan Paul - as a committed Christian I have to say... well done on your positive spell!! I so believe that we each find our peace in different ways. I liked the sentiment of it very much - good on you for being proactive in making things better in your life!

EmmaR - poor Honey... sending you heaps of love and hope those limurs didn't make you too sick - you have to get really well, coz your sister will have heaps of morning sickness with twins and we can't have you both sick at the same time - can we?

Is that everyone? Have any of you seen FMF - I miss her terribly and as I wasn't around last week I wondered if anyone can tell me why she's not around? I do hope she's not sick or pinned under a heavy object and therefor unable to post... thinking of you darling FMF -

Catch you later... I know you're all still asleep...

Morning, all!
I thought ahead and got my coffee before signing on!

PaganPaul...maybe we need to get together? Seems we may have a lot in common right now.

LA29, thank you for your blessing. It looks like I will have a lot of travelling ahead of me!

ASortOfFairyTale...I always hated the first day of school, right up through college. I never had the right books, my pen would always quit working, and I'd always go home feeling like an idiot. So, the good news is you are not alone. The bad news is that it will never stop happening. Hope I helped!

MisterG...with all the delicious meals MSG mentions here, you opt for a burger?!? Then, on second thought, if it's made by her I am sure it is the best burger in the world!

Whitefall. Wow. Thanks for that. Not sure who you were channeling, but it helped a lot. Good luck in your endeavours.

Magdalena, thank you again! I'll be responding to your email soon...and Turkish Delight would not be amiss at a time like this!

SpaceAnJL, you are a difficult one to forget. Seeing as llamas have already been proffered, I give you...a dancing duck.

DancingNeko, thank you! I got your email, and will be answering it as soon as I get done here.
