I only hope Firefly doesn't take 20 years to make it back to TV! (Incidentally, I thought Blake's 7 was a really cool show for its time)

TRAGICSTORY

Actaully Monk was cancelled or should I say never really picked up by ABC. The producers shopped around and found a new home at USA.

are you sure? I thought some episode were shown on abc as a cross promotional thing, at the same time new epsidoes were shown on USA....
unless you mean the pilot was produced with abc in mind and later bought by usa. that kind of thing happens quite often, however. it's not really the same as being cancelled...

Keep Flying!

Monk was originally produced for ABC, but they passed on it. Later it got picked up by the USA network, and became a hit. ABC wanted it back but couldnt get it, so they settled for reruns behind USA. I think its pretty funny considering the kind of tv that ABC gets; a bunch of crappy shows and ill-fated programs. Then a show like Monk comes along and they pass! Sucks to be them.

If I recall, wasn't JAG cancelled for a while (or at least on a long hiatus) after one season and has now gone to be a very successful franchise for CBS, with a spin-off in the works and everything?

Oh, MY GOD! WHO'S FLYING THIS THING!!! Oh, yeah...

To be blunt, Blake's 7 has not come back yet. This news is nothing new. Paul Darrow and Andrew Sewell have been in "pre-pre-production" of the revival for a few years now. They still don't have a script, financial backing or a network to air the program according to the revamped website. They don't even know if they want to make a mini-series, TV-movie, or a full series (live-action or animated). The website relaunch and media hype appears to be just a ploy to find backers for the proposed project. AFAIK, the Firefly feature film is already a more certain proposition.
