I'm going on holiday to Canada in late October,so I'm planning to buy the Serenity full screen DVD edition cause in England there's only a wide screen edition & I'll buy as many Firefly/Serenity books as I can find.

What my question is,in Canada which shops are like the equivalent of Walmart and Barns & Noble in Canada.

there is walmart in canada. check out http://www.walmart.ca for locations. in terms of barnes and noble there is chapters and indigo. There is also futureshop or bestbuy.
Where are you going in canada?

I recommend Quebec. Go to the old part of city, along the bluff. Just park your car on top of the bluff and start walking down the meandering streets to the bottom. Wait till the sun starts setting. Be hungry, because the food is excellent. Take your time and work your way back up. By the time you get back to the top the street enterainers will be out.
