Ok, somebody give me some info about these two things! I know where the Wake is going to be, and when (Saturday, right?). I have a pirate outfit that I wear to RenFaires...should I bring it? I just don't know!

Bring it!

Serenity and I, Jadehand, Lightmedark, Tristan Mai and several others wil all be dressing as pirates on friday, so all you have to do is stick it on and follow the smell of rum.

I think Serenity is taking part in the parade as aswell if you wasnted to do that, then in the evening, possibly, we are raiding the Buffy Prom - i'm not sure if we've decided to go as stealth pirates in our slinky pretty clothes, or remain in full pirate gear, but we were going.

I'm not sure about the Wash wake - i think we're going, but i'm not sure, i don't even have a note of what day its on, so...

Jadehand seems to Know everything, ask him.

But bring your pirate costume!

Thank you for your help!

My pirate outfit is completely handmade, with the exception of my boots. I have a green shirt (red seemed to be done to death), black pants, a black head scarf with the pirate flag of Calico Jack stitched into it, as well as belt, scabbard & bracers that we've made custom for me. They have a rose pattern on them. Yes, the scabbard does have a sword it in, piece-tied of course!

Even though I DETEST having my picture taken, I'll see if I can't post one here of it, as well as my pirate mug.

This is about some going's-on at Dragon*Con in Atlanta.

I KNOW Wash isn't dead, but they're having a wake for both him & Book. It sounds like fun, actually...and the winner's of the eulogy contest they're running will have there's give to Alan Tudyk at the Con.

I don't know everything but I've come across some limited information.
As has been mentioned here the Wash Wake is put on by the SEBC. Good folk the lot of them. A wake is a party to celebrate the life of our favourite pilot. (Collected from various sources):

Wash Wake is from 6-9pm Saturday in the Conn Suite.
We have a room number for the Wake!
Saturday 6-9, Hyatt rooms 223 and 226
Bring toy dinos and books for charity

I think this is a stop by some time during those hours event. not a 3 hour deal.

The Pirate thing is just something silly a few of us folk are doing for fun, it's not an official thing. Just a group of us from a couple of threads that had a few piratey moments getting together to be piratey. It would be like the Forsaken group getting together to set themselves on fire. No need to join in.

there's not much going on Friday for 'coats. A discussion friday night on Miranda with KRAD who wrote the novelization. That group will just be dressed as pirates instead of wearing Blue Sun shirts. Not a thing.

Sat. is a bigger day with the wake the Guest panel and the Buffy Prom that evening. I'm guessing most won't want to wear the same clothes from the previous day. It's a "No need to dress."(fancy anyway, clothes of some sort are likely required by local customs and laws)event.
