Okay, so I'm watching EUReKA on Spike. "So his sin is pride," the guy says, and I turn to my brother: "Isn't that what the Doctor got killed for in Serenity? Yeah, it is."

May not be smart, and it may not please you, but you're definitely gonna see what I have to say.

I am not sure it was Serenity related, saw a church sign that said, this is one bus that will come.

Like the Shepard's hair braiding? Yeah, it's kinda a cool coincidince if it's not a Browncoat writing that board...

I also noticed on the first episode of Eureka that at the funeral, it was a black guy giving the eulogy (looked a lot like Book) and the new Sherrif was wearing a brown coat.

Side note - Remember the BFG from Doom? The edited version is Big Freaking Gun. Eureka had a BMFG Liquidator. Had to rewind the Tivo to make sure that's what he said.

TRAVELER

I see it in "Blade Runner". Harrison Ford plays a dark and moody person like Mal. Whenever I think of one of them it brings out comparisons with the other. How a lot of the scenes in "Firefly" are dark and "Blade Runner" was deliberately dark to fit into film noir. Now I'm thinking of "Momento". Also dark. Says a lot about me. Will have to buy the DVD of that movie next.

Actually I watch a lot of comedy. Didn't want to leave you with the impression I'm this gloomy old fart. You can say fart can't you.

Not too odd, and not too unique, but boy do I keep expecting to see the crew hanging out in The Gem every Sunday night.

Deadwood's just Firefly without spaceships. And River ;)

Walk tall, or don't walk at all...

MORDACIL

now, whenever I hear a guitar, I get this urge for them to play Ballad of Serenity or Hero of Canton so I can sing them. Today I somehow took the story Their Eyes Were Watching God and ended up telling someone it had a man named Jayne in it, who robbed from the rich and gave to the poor. stood up to Janie and gave her what for.

PS I thought Eureka was only on scifi

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one, so I joined starfleet and was stationed at the SGC to fight the covenant, whos gate happens to be down, and through which I must cast the ring from whence it came. It was our last best hope for peace but it failed so millions of voices cried out and were suddenly silent but there was no spoon and also no fate but what we make for ourselves.
-I thought of that in the shower

NCBROWNCOAT

Heard somewhere that Nathan had auditioned for the role of the Sheriff in Eureka and didn't get the part. If he had gotten the part it really would have been freaky.

Whenever I hear either "City of Blinding Lights" or "Bullet the Blue Sky" by U2 (which I listen to...A LOT) I always notice how Bono sings "a city lit by fireflies" or "from the firefly, a red orange glow," respectively. Or when I listen to Ben Folds' "Jane," I don't know why it isn't spelled with a "Y."

"All I got is a red guitar, three chords, and the truth...the rest is up to you"

I can't order Chinese anymore without thinking of Firefly

Morbid and creepifying I got no problem with, so long as you do it quiet like.
