Except for a few modifications this model is complete. I have yet to build the shuttles for the sides of the ship. It is heavier than you'd think, hence the extra support legs. It has 185 individual peices that had to be glued together.

Please follow links below. Let me know what you think.

I got the instructions online and was able to print out the design, but it took lots of glue and patience to get it like this.

I bow to your workmaship and patience.

Just be careful about turning on the Fusion blast drive, you might light it on fire

You can find the plans on Summer Glau's website. Mr. Tim Knight was nice enough to post it for me there. Take Care!

Haven't given the whole build and sale idea much thought. I'm sure Universal would get me from profiting off of an image that they own. Who knows? I'll have to look into that. I have a friend who actually does sell stuff like that. I bought a 3 ft model of the original Enterprise once. It was scratch built and fully detailed.

On Summers website it is on the main page about five or six blogs down. They have posted a picture of what it looks like before it is painted.

Has anyone else built a model of firefly? I'd like to see it?

There is also one here

http://www.chihuahuadepapel.com/ingles.htm (scroll down on the left)

It's not as big, but it's already printed. There is a version that's been changed so it's closer to the movie version.

http://www.closertogod.net/main/eggs/serenity.doc (that's a direct link to the Word document)

Sorry, the instructions are in spanish, but it's illustrated well enough to understand. I haven't finished building it yet, but it's going well.
