Was listening to the radio today when '8th of November' by Big & Rich came on. It's based on some real world history for those that haven't heard it but, most like cause of the music, the first part of the song made me think of Mal and war scene at the start of the Firefly episode 'serenity'.

"That's what happens when you call the FEDS!"

"No power in the 'verse can stop me!"

Funny ... I heard a song today that I had never heard and didn't find out who sang it - but one of the lines was "...your Desdemona eyes".. and later there was something like "Everything's going to be alright, now, I promise" or paraphrased words to that effect...

It so made me think of Simon/River's relationship. I wish I'd been in a position to find out more about it...

That's all... mwaaah - Magda x x x

"I love my Captain!"

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Sweet Magdalena, ask and ye shall recieve!
The song is "Make the World Safe" by Whitlams. Lyrics are as follows:
I know they all want you
With your Desdemona's eyes
I'll keep you from danger
And shield you from prying eyes

I can make the world safe for you
Come and live over here
I can make the world safe for you
Come and live over here
I can make the world safe for you
Nothing bad'll happen now...

I've got a problem
I think you know how I feel
Plans piling up in the corner
Eyeballing me every hour

I can make the world safe for you
Come and live over here
I can make the world safe for you
Come and live over here
I can make the world safe for you
Nothing bad'll happen now...

Got a balcony and an orange tree
You can save up and visit New York with me
You can save up and visit New York with me

I can make the world safe for you
Nothing bad at all

You've got no money
So I know how you feel
When you see the glitter
Turn around it's no big deal

I can make the world safe for you
Come and live over here
I can make the world safe for you
Come and live over here
I can make the world safe for you
Nothing bad at all

I can make the world safe for you
Come and live over here
I can make the world safe for you
Come and live over here

Gorgeous, wonderful Phoenix Rose! Thank You! That is a Whitlam song I was not familiar with... to my shame :dissappointed:

There are a few not so Simon/Riverish words - but did you think I was crazy? The lady in the bread shop probably thought so!!! (yes, I was in the breadshop when I caught a bit of it on their radio!!)

You are so amazing - and once again spooky!

Lovin' you more! - Magda x x x

You know I am always happy to help!
No, I don't think you're crazy; I can see it. Especially the beginning; near the end it loses that feel.
And don't feel bad, I've totally done the thing of being in public and suddenly stopping and staring at the ceiling with a grin on my face because of a song. If people think I'm crazy, well, 'em!
I'm very wrapped up with music and lyrics, in case anyone here didn't know that yet

NOREN

i heard "Who Are You" by The Who on the radio yesterday.
it reminded me of the scene where River is triggered at the Maidenhead and starts fighting. And one of the twins asks Mal: "Do you know that girl?"
To which he responds: "I really don't."
