Heh. The new Star Wars on line game Galaxies just posted the following:

"Special Announcement: Stock up on fireworks! On July 4th, the citizens of the galaxy will celebrate Unification Day, an ancient holiday marking the end of the Unification Wars. Every hour on the hour we encourage you to gather at the local Shuttle Port and light off fireworks with fellow players!"

I think I need to go find me a nice long brown coat, head over to an Alliance friendly bar and look for a quiet drink...

Bill
We were so busy guarding the sky, nobody noticed they stole the FLOOR.

Here's some info about the Stars Wars Unification Wars. Apparantly the Jedi helped a lady conquer 7 planets in order to create stability.

and if you're a Browncoat, then what? go to an Alliance-friendly bar and hit somebody every hour on the hour?

now THAT's funny.

I found the way, by the sound of your voice--so many things to say.

Well, that'd be ONE way to do it. I figure the Cap'n Reynold's way (go into a bar and get my butt kicked) will be the more likely outcome.

And since they have no spaceships yet, a "grand entrance" from Mr. Washburn is kinda out of the question.

I'd probably just hit and run for my life. i'll be at a convention this weekend. depending on the weather, I may wear my Browncoat (it being almost 90 in Minneapois right now) but most likely just a brown shirt, although the Radisson South can get pretty nippy. Jedis and Star Wars folks galore - We'll see what kinda trouble i can get into...or, more likely, avoid.

LOL, it was my assistant Dr. Google. I searched for the name of that hotel and Star Wars and it was numbero uno in the results.

Maniac is having a party on the 4th, I'm going to have to miss the convention fun. It's pretty dang far away too.

I did give Maniac a 6' 4" cardboard Chewbacca, so we will drink to you on the holiday.

Have fun!

MICHAEL SHEARD!!!! He played Hitler in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. (Uncredited) He also played the German U-boat captain in Raiders of the Lost Ark! (Although, that scene found its way to the cutting room's floor, which is too bad. It explained how Indy made it to the secluded island while riding on top of a submerged submarine. He lashed himself to the periscope with his whip, if anyone cares to know.)

He also played an Admiral (I think) in Star Wars. I don't know if he will be promoting that, though. I thought he once described that role as his death. Come to think of it, I don't know why he would be all too fired up to admit that he portrayed Hitler or a U-boat captain either. But he's going to be there, evidently. Wow.

Viva Firefly!

Well, I got my coat! (Paid SO MUCH TOO MUCH for it. Kinda like being a fan in Real Life!)

Annnnnd, while looking for it, I found some wares from a tailor by the name of Jayne Cobb!

Ohhh, I can't wait till they add space ships! I'll get my own little run down piece of Feyoo (sp?). Got a name all picked out and everything! :)

Happy U-Day, all!

Why Tash! You're such a sweet-talker!! Next Jawa I see...and, well, stormtrooper and bevy of Jedi cuz they'll be there too, armor, weapons and all...will bring a smile to my face as I raise my glass and toast to the Independents.

For any of you Star Wars fans, Michael Sheard is an absolute delight as a GoH. So far from the Hitler persona that he's hardly recognizable. Those cray-zee Brits!
