Where do we apply pressure? There is enough interest to do this. How can it be accomplished? Best I've seen since ???????? Since the original Star Trek was cancelled, everything else bored me or burnedinto boring in a short time.

Pressure is a no-go. You don't want to appear hostile to folks, no good will come of it. Money is what TPTB will listen to. Go check out the Browncoat Event forum to see our current plan of action.

Basically, Like Trek, it'll take time. We need to get more folks into the 'verse. It took Trek almost a decade or so to get ST: The Motionless Picture. We got Serenity in only a few years, so I'm thinking we're ahead of the game.

Go forth and recruit!

I have the series & the movie. I have shared the series with everyone who show the least bit interest in this kind of thing. So far everyone loves it & has, each, a favorite character. I won't lend the movie till they complete the series. The movie is good, but after the series involvment, the movie is killer. It is ahead of it's time, as was S Tk. I just keep sharing. I was in my 20's when S Tk came on the air, I still appreciate a quality piece & FireFly is one.

Thanks

Honestly, we've been asking the question "How do we get Firefly back?" since Dec 2002. I finally accepted the show was gone when the film came out.

Do not fear me. Ours is a peaceful race, and we must live in harmony.

I was but a wee lass when ST came on the air, but once it did, it was seen in out house constantly there after. (One of out local stations ran it pretty much since it had gone off until, well, UPN closed the door on Enterprise.)

Both were quality ahead of its time, but unfortunately, the idiot bean-counters still run the world.

Sharing it is the only way we'll get more, so you're on the right track.

The dark side is dangerous young padawan.

Fear leads to hate, hate leads to fear... ahem, or is it the other way round.

Anyway... Guy.. we need your Force to be on the side of good.. so no Sith powers. Please?

You're doing exactly what needs to be done by sharing with folks and letting them find Firefly/Serenity.

We have lots of plans for the summer.. in fact we're guerilla marketing this week. We're sharing the news that there is a SciFi marathon of Firefly this Friday, July 14th with everyone.. other websites, folks we know.. folks at work and where we live by putting up posters.

Watch the threads for information re: all this stuff that we're doing.

Also, you're new.. you need your very own browncoat..

*hands Vetter96 a browncoat that fits just right*

Welcome home.

Thanks for the welcome & the handle. Feels like a perect fit. I continue to share. I am ready for an entire re viewing of the whole series
(- commericals). Not sure the new FireFly groupie is ready to hand it back. But if he wants to see Serenity (free of late fee's) he'll have to cough it up. Beside, I know where he lives & retrieving unattainable items for my personal gain, is (now that I am a Browncoat) is what I do...............

I am still shocked I heard nothing about this sreies when it was on the air. Where he heck was I? What cave was I growing old in? Beats me. Just glad I discovered it. So share, I am doing & will continue to do so. Finally, something with real substance & not so computer generated, that any originality is completly unheard of.
Thanks
There are others as old as me that arn't dead. Whoopie

The reason you didn't hear about it was when FOX *hawkspit* discovered the series wasn't going to be supernatural àla Buffy and Angel, lost all interest, didn't promote it, showed it horribly out of order and moved it around so they could state low ratings and can it.

I'd only heard anything prior to it airing through SF media (Starlog had done a right shiny article on it, which was how I discovered Ron Glass would be in it--whom I'd loved watching in Barney Miller) and the online Buffy/Angel grapevine.

And...come on. Ya can't be that old. When we can go archive diving again, go look for the thread on folk's ages that hang about here. Then tell me you're old.

Okay, now, I at least know why it got past me. I caught it completely by accident. Best accident in a very long time.
Well, when ya do go diving in the archive, yea, I'll go along & yes I am that old. Okay I'm not getting social security yet, but it is just around the corner.............Ah well, not stressing over it, happens to everyone at some time. anyway, I'm just old, not dead. After all, I am a "new" browncoat............
