Hi there,

I've seen the Firefly Episodes on VCD (no other chance in Germany ) and I love them.
I will hope the possible DVD will be available here.

Hola from Dallas, TX!!!!

I met a great German girl on a flight from DFW to London Gatwick... we actually chatted for about 8 of the 11 hours our flight was. She and her boyfriend had flown from Germany to one side of Canada (Happy Canada Day!), then travelled/hiked/rowed/etc., across to the other end, before flying back home through Dallas. Unfortunately, her boyfriend had been called back to Germany earlier, so she was travelling back alone.

OK, so the point of all that, is that I've only met one person from Germany, and she made a great impression!

Keep flyin'. ;)

Welcome to FFF.net, the 24-hour Web service for fans in need -- in need of many things, most of of all new episodes. But I guess we'll just have to make do with the three unaired episodes due in the DVD set coming either in "late fall" or "before Christmas," according to various reports. But the bummer thing for you is that you need, what?, region 2 disc? Or do you have multi-region player?

/engaging cloak -- to hide from RCS gang on that other board/

Then there's the movie TBA in 2004-05, we surmise.

/decloak/

Enjoy Lonestar!

be seeing you

greetings to you, too. from just around the corner:
nürnberg (where I live) to be exact or even more exact erlangen (where I work).

there are lots more than just one firefly fan in germany. I know 4 personally (including myself) and some more thrue a friend. just gave him my VCD encodings of the three unaired EPs for 2 more fans to enjoy.

we germans (at least some of us) are used to getting our TV stuff over the net, there's just nothing to watch on german TV. they dub the audio with bad german actors that sound like they're sleeping while reading *shudder*.

I'll buy the DVDs as soon as amazon.com or any other worldwide selling onlineshop will list them. my players all play RC1 and 2 and all the others.

...so where in germany are you? if I might ask.

Hi There,

I`m also new in this "Firefly" Community and yep...also from Germany :-)
I have all the Episodes and watched them a couple of times already and you just have to love that Show.
I wonder if it will get aired here on a german TV Station at all and boy, they sure will mess it up with a cruel Dub that`s for sure!

I`m from Herne, that small city is in a area what we call the "Ruhrpott" :-)

grüße an euch "Browncoats" wo immer ihr euch in Deutschland aufhält.

And greetings of course to all you Firefly Maniacs out there ....and keep flying!

Hi,
I knew that there are other Firefly fans in Germany! I have been visiting this site for almost half a year but never registered until now. Haven't seen the unaired eps yet because I am waiting until they're aired in the UK. Is the quality good? If not, I think I can wait ;)

Well now here's another german Firefly fan, greetings from shiny Heilbronn ;)

Hello TheQ :-)

Same here, I was lurking around here for quiet some time already and waited for other german Fans to crawl out of the woods :-)

I have the unaired episodes and they are not quiet the quality like the "older" episodes.
Especially "Heart Of Gold" has some sound problems, I guess you`d better wait til they get aired in the UK.

I hope a good soul will share it with us then.

@ all: Sorry for this lesson in german

Greetings to Heilbronn.
German fireflies swirling around.

Maybe Joss will regnonize that there are many fans in Germany and looks for contact with a TV station.

Greets from Switzerland (just around the corner)!

Wow, so viele deutschsprachige Leute hier!

@Lonestar
I've heard that RTL2 bought the rights to air the series in Germany and that they would do it sometime this year!

-----------------------------
Yes there are Fireflyfans all over the world. Even in little switzerland.

I'll answer in english because it's just nice for everyone to understand, don't you think?

ok, I do have the unaired EPs and I did denoise the audio and reencode the video to VCD, there is a thread about it somewhere around here.

I have them shared in my eMule exclusivlely at the moment and there are almost no downloaders yet. someone downloaded Heart of Gold yesterday and someone started with The Message but that's it so far.

feel free to load (and share) them. but it would take some time to get them, because I only have ISDN, but all the 64k uplink are yours if you like.

check out the other thread I posted the emule links there.

Well, It gets kinda crowded now with some german Firefly Supporters :-)

Sorry for my ramblings in german I tyr to minimize it :-)

Greetings to all of you.

Gruß aus`m Ruhrpott

Well I don't even want to guess how the voices will sound like But if it gets aired before the DVDs are released it's a chance for us to see it in good video quality ;)

I won't watch it. my friend says he'll watch five minutes just so see how they killed it.

when I think about Andromeda my stomach starts to turn and I'll stop thinking about it.

no more dubbed TV for Idefix. movies are ok, they give some thought to the actors voices and to translation there but with nowadays TV it just seems to have to be cheap, that's all that counts.

for good quality of the unaired EPs I'd look for the UK versions. there already are good quality versions of the aired EPs online. there are excellent .OGM files on eMule for instance. I reencoded them as MiniDVD (DVD format on CD medium). they will sustain me til the US DVDs are out.

we (4 firefly fans in Erlangen/Nürnberg) even plan to have our own little Firefly Shindig to show our most beloved TV series to the rest of the gang (the ones that normally don't watch TV series or don't watch SciFi TV series).

Just wanted to mention that there are at least two more german girls loving the show - I know, because I sent them the episodes as soon as I taped them :-). Same what I've been doing with Buffy and Angel since I moved to the US.

we are three guys and one girl (me) here.
I'm 27, die others are 25, 30 and 38. one of them gives the EPs to at least 2 others whom I do not know.

just to fill the demographics around the world *grin*.

we're all kind of SciFi geeks, no special Buffy or Angel fans around. more of the Star Trek, B5, Andromeda (first and early second season, let's not talk about the crap they produce nowadays) and Farscape (my favourite besides Firefly) variety.

i downloaded firefly more or less acidentally to fill the summerbreak (alias, gilmore girls, and, yes, i admit it: ent nx-01) and, what can i say, now i'm totally adicted to it.
