Okay, we've all played the 'who would you like to see in Firefly/Serenity' game. Now for something totally disrespectful of others.

Which one actor and one actress would you never want to see stinking up the screen in a SereniFly vehicle?

I'll start, shall I?

David Hasselhoff and Paris Hilton.

Normally, I'd go to exhaustive lengths to explain my choices, but I think the nature of this topic is gonna render most of such details extraneous, don't you?

Inexcusably,

zoid

P.S.
If you've got more than one actor and/or actress, post them separately. But to play by the rules ('what are those?'), in each post you must have one actor and one actress, so things stay evened up. No picking on guy or girl hacks only, see?

P.P.S.
Feel free to explain your choices, if you feel moved to do so, and to rebut the choices of others. I mean, this is a discussion forum, after all...

I'll play!

Sarah Michelle Gellar and William Shatner.

Got nothing against Captain Kirk, I just don't think he would be a great addition to out 'verse.

SMG. Sorry to all the Buffy fans out there, but she would be one person I would hate to see. Unless, of course, it was as Reaver-bait!

I could see her very believably portraying some kind of religious fanatic, a la "Safe", although she'd probably turn down the role as a matter of principle. And of course, she's shat on Joss before (i.e., refusing to even consider reprising the role of Buffy in a casually-rumored Buffy The Series-based miniseries), so...

Semi-Contrarily,

It is because of her attitude that I think she would not fit in...you are right about her turning down a part just on principle. I could go off on her, but not here. This thread promises to be too much fun for BS like that. So, I will agree with you and smile!

I just can't stand Chloris, and you could get a social disease just from looking at Colin Farrell. Yuck.

Wow! No Colin Farrell?! First, I could totally envision him as a kind of Badger-with-a-razor's-edge kind of hooligan (the "social disease" carrier thing would be a plus in the role). Second, isn't he a fellow countryman of yours? Spit in your pint, did he?

Are you sure you didn't mean Will Ferrell?
(NB: Though he doesn't seem very contagious, and I think a part could be found for him as an Alliance government CEO.)

I know, I know. Generally, I like me some Irishmen. But Colin Farrell makes my skin crawl. I just want to bathe him...and not in a good way. He's dirty looking, dirty acting, just plain icky.

A list of Irish Men I would do before Colin Farrell:

1. The entire male population of County Cork
2. The entire male population of County Mayo
3. The entire male population of County Kerry
4. And so on.
You get the idea...

Paris the love-bot - Noooooooo!!!!

C'mon, that girl that played April was actually a pretty good actress. And Sarah was brilliant as the Buffybot.

"If we want her to be exactly she'll never be exactly I know the only really real Buffy is really Buffy and she's gone who?" Tee hee!

On that subject - I'd quite like to see Sarah in Firefly. I defy anyone to watch Becoming II or The Body and tell me Sarah can't act. And I'd like to see her as a character very different from Buffy.

Who would I not want? Can't top David Hasslehoff and Paris Hilton!

Actually, that would be nearly every popular celebrity (not star) in Hollywood. Just think of all the high grade primma donna celebrities that are hot hot hot and there you go.

Makes you see where the mentality is when people like Cruise and Jolie are up on the hot meter and our BDS have yet to be caught on the hot meter. But all the better for us since we don't have to share.

Then again all the pretty boy celebrities can play boy whores. That's very thoughtful.

I know you said one set per post but I just have too.

For the younger set: Ashton Kutcher and Hillary Duff
I never understood the popularity of either of the mediocre people.

For someone a little older: Mel Gibson and Sarah Jessica Parker. He's lost his mind and she never impressed me with her "acting".

Now Andrea Parker would be great. That woman can act.

Yeah...I'm OLD. All those choices were strictly for ratings. Bea Arthur was in Maude which was in the top 10, Harvey Korman was a regular on the Carol Burnett Show, which was still going strong at that point, and Starship was big in the music industry at that time.
What that thing needed was a plot and a decent writer.
