Good to be back...any news?

Hello all! It's been a while since I've been on here and I hope to be on here on a daily basis like I was a few months ago. Most of you may not remember me but that's cool, I'm not looking for popularity, just other people to talk to my favorite tv show and movie with.

Getting to my point, I was wondering if someone could kind of sum up any news on Firefly/Serenity, or any news about the actors or Joss that's been floating around within the past month or so. The only thing I've found out was when I met Nathan about 3 weeks ago in the airport, although he didn't have much to say about work he had lined up. Anyhow, no matter how big or small info would be very much appreciated. Well now that I've shaken some dust off the old Browncoat I feel much better. Thanks in advance all who help.

Been on vacation too in Persephone (Myrtle Beach, SC). Whoa what a place-condos everywhere and the Pavilion (amusement park that's been there FOREVER) is in it's last season.

Lots has changed in 25 years since I was last here but there's still the little strip on Ocean Blvd with 3 for $10 t-shirt shops, Ripley's Believe it or Not and ice creamshops that reminds me of the space Bazaaar in The Message. Just wish they sold Ice Planets.

BTW any one have info on the Slither DVD? I've heard conflicting dates on another board-IsaccShepherd did Nathan mention anything about it?

FMF and FollowMal-what we need to do is clone Nathan so we can all have him. LOL

Welcome back IS, I missed you!

Let's see summing up... hmmmm.

Well, the Serenity Now/Equality Now screenings were a huge success. Here is a link to their site to go check out what happened and how much they made for Joss' fave charity.

The Serenity Day DVD buy push was a success. The rankings on Amazon stayed at 2 and 3 respectively for that day and a couple of days..so we sold some DVD's. That just makes for more shiny recruits. We like that.

Joss made a speech, let me link you here about Equality Now and we got some mention from Meryl Streep who introduced him....

Nathan was at Moonlight Rising, the con in Pennsylvania recently, I suspect he was flying there when you saw him.

Otherwise, I know very little about what is going on with the rest of the actors. Morena is doing a guest starring role on the new season of Stargate: SG1. There have been some threads re:
Jewel's new movie and her blog having a new post.. you'll have to search for that.

Nathan is still working on White Noisier, as he jokingly called it. LOL

And we----well, we are very busy planning for the Serenity Summer Campaign here. We have lots of stuff planned. We now have a calendar that will be linked to soon.. and we'll have lots of stuff for Browncoats to do as the summer goes on. Watch for it on the Browncoat Events Forum on the right of the home page and also in threads that are titled Serenity Summer Campaign or Summer of Serenity. We'll need lots of involvement and we'd love to have you.

Oh, and here have a cup of coffee.. or mudders milk, whichever you'd like... we're gonna be busy!

Thanks for all the info FollowMal. I must say, running into Nathan was quite a surprise on my behalf. I was comming back from Vegas and I had a layover flight in Minneapolis MN. When I first saw him I didn't think it was him, I didn't think I would be that lucky. After I realized it was him I tried to politely ask if he was really Nathan Fillion and of course he was! He was very friendly and very personable. I got my picture with him and my other friend got an autograph.

I asked him if he was working on any projects and he said no. It's possible he may have something starting up soon, but may be under contract not to say anything. I believe he had just got done with White Noise 2 and/or Waitress, since on imdb's website it says both movies are in post production.

One last thing, before exams, my hard drive crashing and going on vacation I told everyone I'd try to make some fan vid's and I will be on top of that hopefully before school begins again. I have a few other obligations I need to attend to before I do that, but hopefully soon I'll be able to get to work on it. Thanks for the welcome back. Stay shiny all!

When were you in Minneapolis? I just flew back to MN on Monday from Charlotte, NC actually. That would have made my crappy trip worth the while to see him, let alone meet him!!!
