Hi, I'll try to keep this short, because I know long posts tend to scare people. Let's just get this out there. I live in the Midwest, and my girlfriend lives in Eugene, OR. I'm going to be visiting her during a good chunk of the summer (including S-Day). I don't know what her schedule looks like, so I don't know if we'll be able to make a couple hour trip or not. Anyway, from my time as a Serenitymovie.com browncoat, I kind of learned that Eugene was kind of a hotbed for browncoat activity (or at least so it seemed at the time). So, I would have no idea how to organize a screening even in my own town, let alone hers. So, I was wondering if there was any interest/support for this idea, or if it would be too much trouble or too close to the Portland screening to conjure up the effort. Just let me know what you guys think. If anyone hates the idea, just don't post. This thing will sink down lower and lower on the list until it disappears. Anyway, I hope there are some people who would favor the idea. Thanks.

I'd actually mentioned it before, when there was some discussion of trying get something into the Bijou.

When we mentioned it, one of the Portland organizers said that the Eugene crowd was planning to go to the Portland showing.

Anybody know how true that is? I'm working that Friday, so couldn't make it north OR south for a showing that night (I'm in Mt. Shasta, California) but maybe a Saturday showing.

Yeah. Well, I'm not super strict about the idea. Heck, I'm glad to be in the area, because even though physically our landscape is more Firefly-like than where she lives, there's a lot more fans out in her city. So it's a fair trade, I guess. Anyway, she hasn't driven up to Portland more than a couple times if even that, and it would just be the two of us (and I'm unfamiliar with the area). We'll go if it's the only option, but I just thought a more local one might be more convenient, and I remember seeing lots of Eugene activity, so I figured there might be decent support for the plan.

You mean the old Universal Browncoat board. http://serenitymovie.com is Universal's Serenity Movie promotion site and is still active.

And if you click on the Join the Browncoats link on http://serenitymovie.com, you go to the replacement Browncoat Board http://www.serenitymovie.org .

Gossi runs it and Universal has a direct link to it. Shiny.

Also, Gossi was able to archive a lot of the Original Universal Browncoat Board.
