All I want is my gorram custom AVATAR!!!!

I can't take it any more! I just want it so bad but there seems to be some godly presence denying me any Firefly happiness. I've sent Haken multiple emails containing my avatar, and I sent him multiple versions of my avatar--I sent an attachment, I copied it into the text of the email, I sent him a link to where it was already on the internet. And yet, still no avatar, or reply.

The last time I sent him an email was April 8. The first time I sent him one was before February 25.

Now, I've tried sending him emails through the "Email submission form," but when I do this I get an "automatically generated Delivery Status Notification" from postmaster (postmaster@iceweb) saying:
"Unable to deliver message to the following recipients, due to being unable to connect successfully to the destination mail server."

I haven’t tried the submission form for a while now, so maybe I should try again.

But, any way, I'm SICK of this! I just want my custom avatar. There is no reason for it to be this difficult.

As you can read, I'm annoyed with this. Please--PLEASE--if you have any suggestions/help that will show me the light and get me my avatar, I'm here and waiting.

I'm sure he's busy and will get around to it.
Remember, he maintains this site out of the goodness of his Browncoated heart. He's not paid, and he does have a real life.

He'll get to it when he gets a chance. In the meantime, take a chill pill and use one of the provided avatars.

(oh, and the nagging him thing..might not be the best idea)

I know he's busy, I understand that, that's why I waited so long. But more than two months just to put a little picture on the site? It makes me seriously consider that my emails might not be reaching him.

Also, I haven’t been bugging him. I've sent him four emails throughout the last two months (not including the two that didn't get through to him when I used the submission form).

EDIT: I'm not trying to rant, and I'm trying to keep my complaining to a minimum, I'm just finding out what other people think I should do. Sorry If I sound so anal.

It's just a little picture...it's not like he's denying you the ability to post. No need to be so dramatic...Haken has given us this amazing community which has been my home on the internet for several years now. If he decides to change all the avatars to pictures of hot dogs, fine by me.

Actually, it's funny that you should say that. Ever since I set my mind on getting this avatar, ever since I started waiting, I've been getting on here less and less. It's not like I'm avoiding the site, it's just when I think about the site I think about my avatar and I want to wait a little longer, so I do something else. It's a weird feeling.

Maybe to you it's just a little picture, but I love it:

But I even went so far as to post the avatar I wanted to use in the BlueSun Room, so it would be on the same server. I figured, no offsite links, should be good to go, right?

No dice.

Here's what I figure:
There's a ton of content on this site, and as others have already mentioned, only the one Haken, he of the Hawaiian life and beauteous wife. I'm thinkin' it's way too much for him (or his infinitessimal cadre of minions) to daily go through every new avatar to check for porn -- and you can bet your a$$ there would be. Ever heard of trolls?

The part that's probably irking you most is that the Profile Page offers to let you use a custom avatar, you just can't get one. Well, only about thirty people ever got them. They were OB's (Original Browncoats), and of the original 30, I only ever see two or three on the boards anymore, Haken being one of them (his avatar looks like a Polynesian Jesus).

Them's the breaks.

Still, if Haken won't allow custom avatars -- and I can understand that -- he should at least remove those fields from the Profile template. Easy enough to do, and nobody gets misled into thinking they can't have what others can...

Actually I've written to Haken a couple of times about a custom avatar, but HIS avatar is so scary-lookin that I never pursued it with much vigor. I get the feeling that it could break my custom avatar in half with its little finger.
