BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Yep. Dressed as Mal for Dragon Con '04 & for Halloween '04. Dressed as Jayne for Dragon Con '05 & Halloween '05.

Dragon Con saw a ton of people in Firefly costume this past September. Lots of photos floating around the web.

REGINAROADIE

On Sept 30th, in honor of opening day for the BDM, I went dressed as Wash. I had even dyed my hair his exact color so that I was as close to looking like him as possible. I even brought with me some plastic dinos to play with.

I went as him again for Halloween.

"Maybe we should start calling your friend 'Padme' because he loves 'Mannequin Skywalker' so much, Right? (imitating robot) Danger...danger...my name is Anakin...my shitty acting is ruining saga."

When I was eight I dressed up as a Ghostbuster, but I don't think that's what you meant.

AMYLISAI

On opening night I went as Inara (pilot outfit when she walks down the stairs) my sister went as Kaylee w/parasol, my boyfriend went as Jayne (wearing the hat Serenity Hamlin knitted for him) and my brother went as a Blue Hand guy--very creepy. Sadly, we are kindof in the boonies so while there were other fans in attendance (we got some compliments) no one else dressed up.

One guy asked where Vera was. I replied we weren't allowed to bring her in the theater.

My brother photoshoped a picture of us to look like we're standing in Serenity's hold :-) I'd paste it here but I don't know how.

Someday I'd love to actually spend some time sewing character costumes. If you search the web you'll probably find stuff on people who have--there's some amazing costumers out there who've done fabulous jobs recreating character costumes.

STRAND

We had a western day at school (im not quite sure why?) but I decided Mal was enough western for me and went as him. I got the pants, shirt and boots from Value Village, and borrowed a friends browncoat. Most people were kind of confused, but the few browncoats at our school, it was an ass-picious day.

I dressed as a Blue-Hand Guy for the BDM opening and as Jayne for Halloween.

My sister was River for Halloween, specifically based on the dancing scene from Safe. Curiously, the other two people I talked to who went as River for Halloween also based their costumes on that scene... guess it's her iconic moment.

Oh, I also dressed as Badger to go to a goth club one time, totally at random. Did my facial hair like his, with my crummy bowler hat, a wife beater, an ill-fitting jacket, and an ugly paisley tie... nobody got it, but whose problem is that, love?
