DELONDIL

I never even heard of this show, and I'm a pretty solid fan of Sci Fi.

Then I started hearing about a Serenity movie, based on the series or some such - and again I said "What the hell is this firefly thing?" I figured it was some old 60's TV show that got the axe.

Finally I decided to rent the movie and see what this was all about - and I was stunned. That movie was so gripping, I watched it over and over for the next two days. I was so intrigued with the movie, I went to bestbuy and bought the entire series because I wanted to know more about this crew and what was going on.

When I started watching the shows, I was absolutely floored. I have never seen such a well done show in my life. How this could have possibly cancelled, is just mind boggling. But if nobody ever heard of it, I suspect that was a huge part, because I can't believe I totally missed it. I never even heard about this show until the DVD was released.

After watching the show - I finally recognized an episode - and realize I did in fact pass this show when it aired. I think the Sci Fi channel or someone ran a few episodes of it in conjunction with the movie coming out, and all I remember thinking was "what the heck kind of weird show is this" and I flipped it off because I thought it was a made-for-cable TV Movie LOL!

Now I'm telling my friends - who also never heard of firefly or Serenity - to watch this and in the proper order so you can see the continuity.

I'm sure everyone has heard it a hundred times before but - holy cow, what a mind-blowingly great show this is.

I also saw on the DVD where the creator was complimenting the fan base for helping get this done, so glad to know there is a chance at getting a response. Strength in numbers, I suppose.

I never get tired of hearing how people came to see and enjoy 'Firefly' and 'Serenity',
of course I wish more people had managed to see 'Firefly' on Fox before it was canceled...
or that a LOT more people had gone to see 'Serenity' in the theaters....

but DVD sales are all good...
and we WILL get our sequel

Yes, Sci Fi channel aired the series this past summer on Friday nights leading up to the movie's release.

FLORALBUNNY

Ah, Delondil, it is just *so* shiny to see you here, and to hear the fine story of what brought you to Firefly.
Clearly, this was a show which would have done far better had it been nurtured in the same way that some networks have done with other shows which went on to be hits.
I only wish that all our stories (you'll read many more if you stick around) could be tied up in a big bow and presented to someone who had the power to re-light our Fly.

And, while we wait, please join a huge crowd who are questioning the buffet in the galley. We have everything you've seen in the show, starting with strawberries and going on to some of that hot cheese, tomatoes, rosemary, cookies and brownies from some of the best bakers around, Jayne's favorite chocolate cake, ice-planets, wife soup, bao, the works.

Please do not step on the ShipsCat.

And a note for the SLiTHER FANS: I've had a wave from Blue Sun. A case of the Mr. Pibb you ordered will be in the post the next time we dock at the skyplex.

BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Welcome to the site Delondil, and to the ranks of the faithful fans.

Great to hear that you are sharing the DVDs with others who have never heard of the show. The more new fans we get the better our odds of getting a sequel.

Keep flyin'!
