So I ordered the Serenity Visual Companion last week (don't ask me why I didn't already have it because I couldn't tell you) from Amazon. I got a message today saying it wouldn't be arriving until June 5th because it's out of stock. While I'm upset I'll have to wait that long, this must mean that it's really selling! While it's only #1,410 on Amazon, we browncoats must have bought up the entire first printing. Way to go people!

I'd say it's selling very well, even better than expected. I work at a large chain bookstore, and we are modeled for two copies. Model means that when a book is sold, the computer automatically orders another one to replace it, more or less guaranteeing constant stock. In theory, my store always has two copies.

Shiny, huh?

Very Shiny!!!!

Hopefully, that will also happen when Firefly The Official Visual Companion Volume 1 comes out.

Did you ever have the Serenity Role Playing Game (RPG) book at your store? I purchased one for my brother. When I saw looked at it, I got one for myself and I do not RPG.

I actually picked mine up this weekend. I highly recommend it! To be honest, I also picked up the comic and Finding Serenity. Ok, so I went a little crazy. Just waiting for the Firefly companion! Finding Serenity is also a great read, just gets you into the series a little more...

They better ship me my copy of "Those Left Behind", at least. If they don't *grrr*

On a happier note, go browncoats! We are awesome and we are literary.

IMHO: as it's better than the movie, it deserves to do better than the movie. Has anyone experienced another companion - usually just a fanboi talisman - that is a more satisfying piece of art that its principal?
