I'm trying to make a Serenity board game for a school project (I know, aweful isn't it?) and I need some info. Does anyone know the name of Jubal Early's ship? Or the Fed's ship from "The Message?"

And yes, I promise I'll share when I'm done with the game.

I'm pretty certain that the names weren't mentioned at all. In fact, I feel 100% certain. I don't know where you might find them, but if someone has the shooting scripts, they might know. Let me know how the project goes. I used to teach with a friend who assigned that project. Sometimes the games were great, other times the games weren't.

micjwelch,

No names detected anywhere for these vessels, but I don't have all the books, only scripts and discs.

The Fed ship probably has a letter/number designation to separate it from others in its fleet. Any additional name that might be chosen by crew doesn't show. I think of it as being along the lines of a police cruiser, which might not be allowed to have extra information added by the crew. (Snicker: Imagine LAPD cop car with a nude painted on the fender and "Bouncing Barbie" written under the pic)

Early, the existentialist, might choose to have no name on his ship, and to feel that the government-required registration letters/numbers are an empty device.

I think it's just easier to make it up if you can't find anything officially canon.

And on a similar side note, I always thought QUIXOTE would be a really good name for a ship.

Uh...no clue about Early's ship....probably doesn't have a personal name...class name, on the other hand, it would have to have. Probably something like Raptor or Harrier or something birdlike.

The Fed vessel? Thought it was called an ASERV (probably means something like "Alliance Security and Emergency Response Vehicle). Could be wrong

MAGHAFFAR

In the Serenity pilot for the series, there's a title flashed under the
Alliance "city skyscraper" type ship:
three initials (I.V.S. I believe but not sure cuz my friend borrowed
the DVD boxset) and the name was: "Dortmunder"

In another episode "Safe" where Book gets shot they end up taking him to an Alliance Cruiser, "Magellan".

And you were right (at least as far as fff.net knows) early's ship has no name

Thanks, I was sure there had to be a page like that somewhere. It'll help a lot.

Early's ships name wasn't mentioned.

But Joss admitted that Jubal was inspired by starwars's boba fett and so was the design of his ship. Fett's ship in Star Wars is "Slave 1" so maybe is Jubal's.
