My character would be a re-occuring comic releif type. Say, an Alliance customs inspector on Persephene. Just the sort of person to provide an annoying hitch in Mal's plans, fall into stuttering unrequited love with Inara/Kaylee/Zoe, be stuffed into a luggage locker by Jayne, and get in a comic zinger on Mal at the end of the show.

While I am too old to play it, I think that Mal also needs a hero-worshiping stow a way kid getting him into trouble.

As for the Mal thang, you could get all naked and articulate and ambush him in his bunk, and he'd just climb that ladder right back out again. Boy has learned his lesson.

I have already thought about this while I was watching the show.

I would be a hot shot combat pilot of unknown origions, with my own space fighter who would sign on to Serenity as a backup pilot and support. My space fighter could be modified to dock with the Serenity some place not to obvious for when it wasn't needed. I would also be an assistant engineer, having experiance in maintaining spacecraft through my figher. A good fighter with a blade and hand to hand but not the greatest marksman with projectile or energy weapons.

IMPERATODD

I would hav been a well off, not rich, factory worker on Ares or maybe Bernadette when the war broke out.Not being fooled by the pretense of the conflict i would have remained loyal to the ieals of the Alliance but the government is another story. Seeing how the mighty Alliance was warring on far less prepared, and advanced people i would have felt disillusioned. Trying to find a way to help preserve the ideals i believe in and the life of those on the rim I would have solded just about teverything of value cashed in my stock, and etirement plan accounts (have them now I am sure well in the future as well) and gone to the shp auction. Looking at the ships i think the Firefly is cool, but not big enough. I look a little disheartened until i see a newer model Trans-U, not too new but slightly newer than the reaver ship we saw but and completely intact while looking the same in form and design. On seeing her I would fall in love and buy it then and their. Looking at here i know i need a crew and some cargo. So off i go. I want to haul weapons for the Browncoats so to get some investment capitol i transport all manner of things from cattle to sex-bot. Each disgusing in its own way. When I am sitting well I buy weapons on the black market ranging from a small revolver to large roller tansk and hover skiffs. Then i truck out to the rim and sell them for a profit not a big one though. I do this for the durations of the war on occasiona escorting blockaid running ships since my ships is pretty large it can absorb more fire and can be armed a little bit more. When the war ended I wasn't fully Alliance still seeing the ideals of my people turn to crap and not fully Independent knowing it was utter loss for them and me but my way pf life persists in some way albeit not what i want to see. so i stay on ship and make a living smuggling with the browncaots whatever i can to make the bills. but still having a nice savings left fom my gun running days.

Were I there during the War of Unification I would have been an Alliance Patriot, but I would have run guns for the Browncoats. No I am not a greedy baby eating monster! Gunrunning would have been the patriotic thing to do.

Governments have a way of warping ideals.
