Hi All,

*I'm a newbie so I apologize in advance to anything that might be inadvertantly flameworthy in this post.*

I just bought the Firefly boxed set after watching Serenity a couple of weeks ago. Oh man, this show really needs to be back on the air. I've been a scifi fan for a long time now but Firefly slipped under my radar when it was on Fox. I'm really sad I didn't watch it at the time (I was moving/unpacking). The stories of these characters (as brought to life by the wonderful actors/actresses) need to be told. There is so much on TV that is not worth watching that I really would like to see Serenity fly again.

I'm encouraging everyone I know to go out and buy the DVD's. Is there anything else I can do? I'm happy to write letters, do laundry, whine like my nephews (which ain't a pretty sight) if it will help. Maybe if I win the lottery I could finance a new Firefly endeavour.

In the meantime, I'm happy to add my voice to this site and hope that someone in the entertainment industry stumbles across this post and realizes that the market for Firefly is growing and deserves another chance.

yes, it's a tale of woe, alright....
Welcome to the Club...i mean board....we've all had the same feelings as you're having now..... I missed it the first time around, caught it on SCI-Fi and then bought the set (saw the movie, bought that....found this site...joined up & still doing what i can to bring this story to as many people as possible...)

so, yeah, you're doing all the stuff that needs to be done...just keep it up and maybe we'll get more movies and hopefully, someday, Firefly will fly again on the tube....

did i say welcome?....
post & post often, this is a good place to be - lots of like minded folks who live & breath Firefly....

Our resident Stock Room Clerk, FollowMal, is usually around to hand out a shiny new browncoat to all new recruits...so make yourself at home, cause this is the home for all Firefly/Serenity fans....

I was a pirate when I first saw the show. Once the DVDs were released, I snatched them up and turned in my cutlass for a life of law.

But yes, lots of us here know that kind of sentiment. I've been buying up anything I can, and encouraging others to at least get the DVDs, to show how much folks truly love this series. Even 2-3 years after it was cancelled.

I think you'll find a reasonable degree of scepticism here, but a whole lot of optimism nonetheless.

...who's the one who usually hands out the brown coats by now? KF

Ah, I see that all those subliminal messages Joss inserted into Serenity is still working like a charm ;p Funny how we can never seem to get enough, huh?

If you've bought the DVD's, and are telling everyone you know to do the same, then you're already helping in all the right areas. Just being a fan of the 'verse and wanting to see more is enough to earn that shiny Browncoat. Keep the faith, spread the word, and know that we'll all be here holding the line until Mal gets back.

Welcome to the site Nrdpwr! Always a pleasure to welcome a new browncoat aboard.

All you have to do now is spread the word to everyone who will listen. Share Firefly & Serenity w/ family, friends, co-workers, anyone who will listen. Lend the DVDs, have viewing parties, email friends, do whatever it takes to recruit new people. The more browncoats there are the better our odds of some sort of future.
