Free newspaper (Metro) on the Tube this morning.

Harry Ford being interviewed, and being generally bland. When asked if he preferred the old Star Wars to the Prequels he says something like:

"...audience expectations are different these days..."

Speak for yourself, matey. The old SWs were good fun in their own right. The new ones are close to unspeakable in terms of the scripting, acting and characterization.

I'm not saying the originals were paragons, but the characters had a lot more going for them, and umpty years later, if you describe someone as Han Solo, people know what you're about.

(Incidentally, how about the term for describing something that is bigger on the inside than the outside. Rake though as many Thesauri as you like, you'll still settle for "Tardis-Like.")

Anyway, I reckon good taste is timeless.
