I know you all read "Zink" and went, WTH is that?

I was flipping through my favoite obscure, weird, little fashion, beauty, art photography magazine and to my surprise I turn the page and *BAM* it was Nathan Fillion.

Anyway, there is a short article and new photos (2 small pictures, one full page picture, and a 2 page spread).

Note: If the images/webhost go down, you can see the images in my bluesunroom.

I don't really suggest going out to hunt this magazine down, because there's a good chance you won't find it. Feel free to save the images to your computer though, and load them up to any Nathan Fillion/Firefly fansites and photo galleries. Just PLEASE don't hotlink. My poor, free, image hosting site won't take the bandwith. Also you can email me and I can send you the full size image scans if you need them for such purposes. (possessedsquirrel@yahoo.com)

Enjoy! :)

Totally LOVE it.

Nathan likes Harry Potter. It's adorable!

Besides them mis-reporting Firefly as being in 1992, a fun article.

Ah, okay. I'm still sorta new here and it seemed to me that the Blue Sun Room images were for just fanart images. But I have taken your advise and they are uploaded there :) Thanks.

Anyone else think Nathan Fillion needs to be on motorcylces more often? I think he should arrive to future movie premiers in this fashion.

Not to hard to hunt down online. But you did not mention what issue you are looking at.

They have a website
http://www.zinkmag.com

Single issues are for sale at www.bamm.com Books A Millions website Search for Magazines Zink. Which might mean the magazine is available at Books-A-Million and Barnes and Noble in the US.

Yes, I was referring to in stores when I was saying it would be hard to hunt down. Because only one of my many local bookstores carries Zink and only because the store owners know me and order it for my friends and I. I just didn't want people to think they can pick it up at any of their local bookstores.

But it is the current March 2006 issue of Zink. But yes, online is everyone's best bet.

My Borders and Barnes and Nobles don't have them, nor my mall bookstores (my city doesn't have Books-A-Million). I've always checked bookstores around my city, but no luck. But I think it depends on where you live and the demand that magazine has with that location. When it appeared at the bookstore, where I buy mine now, myself and two friends would buy it monthly. After a few months we noticed everytime they put out the new issues, there were only always exactly 3. Because we were the only ones who bought them. Talking with the bookstore owner, we discovered they were only ordering 3 for us (because it didn't sell otherwise). Maybe in bigger cities they are in higher demand, but it certainly isn't a really popular magazine around here.

If you think that's adorable, Kaele, you should have heard the really sweet story Nathan told at the last Starfury con.
All about how he went to a Serenity premiere last year in Amsterdam, and afterwards he went back to his hotel and was sitting around all alone feeling lonely, so he decided to go out to one of Amsterdam's famous drug-serving cafes. And he sat at his table alone reading his Harry Potter book, and the book was so sad (and he presumably so stoned) that he started crying out loud - and then felt really embarrassed and tried to pretend it was just a cough.
He's such a lovely man...

Great story--thanks for sharing it with those of us who missed that con. Nathan is clearly a nice guy who deserves to have good things happen to him. Let's just hope this 'verse is kinder than the one Mal lives in; in that one, people clearly DON'T get what they deserve. . . .

I LOVE THAT MAN!!!!!!! Thankyou so much for posting these. I could never see enough of him. He looks good in anything...jeans & t-shirt, Mal's tight pants, a suit, or less...I hope others start to notice Nathan as an actor. I'd be totally happy to see him get the credit he deserves. He comes across as such a genuinely sweet guy(I love the Harry Potter bit-since I read them too!) It's great to see an actor who is so grateful to where he got his start. There are way too many spoiled Hollywood brats out there, and Nathan is definately not one of them. Also, FOLLOWMAL, PLEASE tell what other mags our Captain is in this month. I've been toiling away at work and haven't hit a bookstore lately! Much thanks!

Portrait photography speaking, Zink is awesome. I love photography but all photography magazines are usually just about the equipment and have a very minimal amount of actual photographs. But Zink has great design elements and very creative themed conceptual, portrait, fashion photography. I tear alot of pages for the photo samples.

PHOENIXRISING

omg between the nathan and the classic vehicle I might just start drooling. and is that a motorcycle? that is so a motorcycle! He probably doesn't actually know how to work on cars, but I bet he's willing to get greasy(get your mind out of the gutter) and that's important in a man... or a girl for that matter, but that's an entirely different conversation. Of course I could be wrong, but it doesn't really matter. I don't know the man, just the actor, but he's a good actor, and terrific eye candy and that's all that really matters in this instance.

I think the news about pretty much every magazine he's in this month is spread around the site. There might be some links over at the Browncoat Board on our Appreciatin' Nathan thread... I confess, I'm behind a bit in reading it, so I will go read it tonight and if there is anything, I will let you know on this thread.

I have the SciFi magazine that the article about Slither is in. I can post a pic from it ( it's slimy!) if everyone would like me to and give any other information from the article that ya'll would like to hear. Is is ok to scan the whole article and post it? If it is, let me know and I'll be happy to do it.

Thank you Squid,

If you hadn't posted this, I would not have gone into two Books-A-Million stores today looking for Zink magazine
and found this:

I did not find Zink or UK DVD Review in the first Books-A-Million. But in the second, I found Zink in the
Fashion magazine section. And then there was the UK DVD review with Serenity/River on the cover in a section as I walked by. I so wanted to leave this DVD Review in my Dentist and Doctors offices, but it was only available in the UK. Now it is available in US.

UK DVD Review Magazine Serenity/River cover available ONLINE and stores US.

I don't know. I quote things "". I post the cover from another website. But I do not even know if that is ok. But I'm thinking if it ends up getting people to buy the magazines...that is a good thing for the magazine. I never would have bought or even thought about buying a Zink magazine if the pics weren't posted here. I'm hoping to notice when Bamm.com posts the link for the March 2006 Zink and that Browncoats will buy it.

I'm hoping more magazines will realize that pics and articles about Nathan and the other Serenity actors will sell magazines...and then there will be more pics and more articles...and more people will buy Serenity DVDs...and we will get a sequel...and another sequel...and then several mini-series on Sci-Fi on the missing years.

And books and comic books. More t-shirts. A mock-up of Serenity at Universal Studios that we can walk in.
